Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have officially endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 American presidential elections.

According to a report by People, J-Lo broke the news of her support of the former Vice President and Democrat presidential candidate in a post on her official Instagram account.

The 51-year-old chart-topper shared a video of herself and her husband-to-be Alex Rodriguez speaking with 77-year-old Joe Biden and wife Jill via video call with her 132 million Instagram followers and her 46 million followers on Facebook.

During their discussion, Lopez stated:

"For me, it's [about] unifying the nation again, getting rid of this hate. I hate thinking about my kids walking around in a world where it's okay to be racist or prejudiced because our administration says it's okay."

She continued: "That, to me, is really sad because it's not the country that I believe I grew up in. Latinos have been one of the hardest [hit] communities by COVID."

When Lopez asked Biden what his action plan was for helping Latinx people living in the United States, Biden responded by citing the fact that, according to him, 3 million Americans are currently unemployed.

Biden stated: "There's a lot we can do. I know you know this, Jennifer. A Latino is three times more like to be infected by the COVID virus than a white person."

He continued: "One in three Latino small businesses are gone. We're sitting here right now when the president just said he's not gonna negotiate anymore."

He added that the house had already passed on an "incredibly generous" bill, to the tune of more than $2 trillion, to help out small businesses in the United States.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez stated: "I think about those young Latinos out there [and] African Americans, all of us, all of them, that need help. [I hope] they get the support that they need."

In his closing remarks, the 45-year-old former pro shortstop urged the Lantix community (in Spanish) to vote and make their ballot count this year.
