Joe Rogan has sparked backlash for speaking out against so-called 'woke culture'.
In a recent episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, the 53-year-old comedian, fighter, and broadcaster gave his opinion on the issue of cancel culture, which he believes will eventually lead to "straight white men" being silenced.
Speaking with fellow comedian Joe List, Rogan said: "You can never be woke enough. That's the problem. It keeps going."

"Because it's your privilege to express yourself when other people of color have been silenced throughout history."

Rogan ended this discussion by saying that certain activists are taking advantage of the current culture war and polarised bipartisan climate for their own cynical ends. He concluded that people need to be "nice to each other".
But on Twitter, a number of social media users have taken serious issue with Rogan's claims.
One person wrote: "Joe Rogan really thinks that straight white men are fighting for their right to continue being allowed to speak?
"He's that insecure about people in other demographics finally get a shot at an equal voice? What a f***ing loser."
Another person agreed, writing: "He's the type of person who goes to a dinner party with five other people in attendance, but then thinks the entire pie at the end of the meal is for him.
"He's insulted when he's told he only gets 1/6th of it and insists he deserves the entire thing. Nobody else gets any."
A third critic tweeted: "Koe Rogan says that if the Woke Mob wins, straight white men won't be allowed to talk. Straight white men – victims since… [checks every history book] absolutely never."
This irate Twitter user then reacted by writing: "Can Joe Rogan point to one day in American history where straight white men shut the f*** up?
"If you start the clock in 1787 they've had roughly 85,500 opportunities to give it a rest for A DAY, and have never ONCE let the god**** Earth spin without offering an opinion. [sic]"
While another critic added: "Joe Rogan is terrified that one day white men will be treated like women or persons of color. He can think of no worse fate.
"Which is a tacit admission he understands that people who are not white men have been silenced and oppressed throughout American history."
This is not the first time Rogan's comments have proved divisive. Back in June 2020, he provoked controversy by appearing to suggest that wearing a face mask during the pandemic was "for b******" in a conversation with Bill Burr.
