Johnny Depp's fans call out his daughter Lily-Rose for not publicly supporting her dad

Lily-Rose Depp is being badgered by fans of her father Johnny Depp to publicly support him amid his ongoing defamation trial against Amber Heard.

The 22-year-old model and actress has angered some of Johnny's most ardent supporters by not using her platform to speak out against his former wife, who accuses him of sexual and physical violence.

Amber wrote in a December 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post that she had been sexually assaulted although did not name anyone in particular.

Johnny, however, believes he was nonetheless implicated in the article and maintains that his reputation and career have suffered as a result.

So, the 58-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star launched a defamation lawsuit against 36-year-old Amber, who has since filed a counterclaim for twice the amount.

Johnny shares two children with former partner Vanessa Paradis: Lily-Rose, his eldest, and a 20-year-old son named Jack.

Some of his fans are taking issue with Lily-Rose, who has a film career of her own, for apparently not rallying around her famous father.

A Twitter user with the handle @thisisnotahmad drew attention to some of the harassment she has been facing online.

Ahmad shared screenshots of comments Lily-Rose had received with regards to her father's high-profile court case.

One left this derogatory comment for the young star: "You post your t*** more than [your] own dad, what a wreck."

Another wrote: "Not a single pic of your dad! What kind of human being are [you]?" adding: "After years you will be gone and forgotten and people will only remember you as the daughter of a legendary man."

Another chimed in to write: "I think it's time for you my dear to testify in defense to your father. Please think about it. It is too much to bear your father's suffering. Believe it or not, a child's testimony on Live will have a huge impact. AGAIN, please think about it. [sic]"

A different fan urged: "Please support your father. Regardless of YOUR relationship with him, you know that Amber is NOT THE VICTIM. Support him please, speak up!!!!"
