After coming out to her fans last month, JoJo Siwa has now revealed that she is currently in a relationship with a woman.
In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon via Zoom, the 17-year-old talked about her long-distance relationship.
JoJo shared with the talk show host that she and her girlfriend are in constant contact with each other.
She said: "Two days later – we're on the phone literally 24/7 – both of our families get so annoyed at us! But it's OK, it doesn't matter. But I was like, 'Do you know what I realized? How risky that was'. And she was like, 'What do you mean?'"
JoJo continued: "And I said 'technically it was a really big risk posting that… but if I lost everything that I've created because of being myself and because of loving who I want to love I don’t want it. If I can't love who I want to love, that’s one of the most important things to me."
The teenager described her partner as "the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world."
She added: "It's not something I'm ashamed of, it's just something I haven't shown the internet yet."
JoJo also explained how moments before her chat with Jimmy, she broke down crying on the phone with her girlfriend because she felt so happy that she could freely talk about her relationship
She said: "I'm just so happy because now I get to share what makes me the happiest with the world and it makes my heart so happy."
The former Dance Moms star had revealed in an Instagram Live last month, that she is part of the LGBTQ+ community.
She did not specifically reveal how she personally identifies, saying: "I'm not ready to say this answer because I don't really know this answer. I think humans are incredible people."
JoJo told her followers at the time: "Right now, what matters is that you guys know that no matter who you love that it's OK and that it's awesome, and the world is there for you! There are so many people that are there for you."
