Jon Bon Jovi has made some controversial remarks about his love life and it's seriously confused some folks.

Despite being one of the world's biggest rockstars with thousands of female fans, Jon Bon Jovi seemingly only had eyes for one woman.

But in a new interview, he admitted that he had "100 girls in his life" despite marrying Dorathea in 1989 after the pair fell in love at school when she allowed him to copy her work.

Speaking to Michael Strahan for ABC News, the 62-year-old said: "I got away with murder. I'll say it again on camera. I'm a rock 'n' roll star. I'm not a saint. I'm not saying there weren't 100 girls in my life. I'm Jon Bon Jovi; it was pretty good."

Jon continued: "But if you thought I was ever going to jeopardize my anything for believing the narcissist in me was real, what a stupid thing to do. What kind of excesses does a man need that's gonna fuel that fire? It's just not worth it. Not worth it."

The rock icon then went on to state that that his wife is the reason this "world revolves."

"There is no doubt in my mind that this world revolves because of her, because of what she did to keep the kids right, what she does to keep me right, what we do together to keep it right," Jon stated before confirming that he had "No doubt about it."

"She's not afraid to call me out on something, but she's also there when I call, and I'm there for her when she falls. No matter where I went in my career - the ups or the downs - we did it together," he concluded.

While the comments confused a few fans, others agreed that it was just part of the rockstar life.

The pair, who share four children together, have been married for almost 35 years now, after initially tying the knot back in 1989.

Speaking to PEOPLE about eloping over three decades ago while he was out on tour, the star admitted that people were shocked to hear that he'd tied the knot.

“...It shocked a lot of people - shocked about everybody: the band, management, agents, lawyers, parents, you name it,’" Jon recalled.

He continued: "It's a shame because it should have been a beautiful moment, but after we did it, people were trying to take it away, until I stood up and went, ‘Wait a minute, why are we living our life for anyone else?’

"And 35 years later, we're still married," he added.
