Jonah Hill is pretty cool and all, but have you ever thought of him as biblical?
Hundreds of social media users have - and it's all down to one particular picture.

When the Maniac actor uploaded a photo of himself to Instagram to celebrate the end of the year, his followers were quick to point out that he reminded them of a certain key religious figure: Jesus Christ.
The 35-year-old shared the image of himself smiling at the camera, wearing a pink shirt and blue gown, with the caption: "2018 was... interesting... be safe out there everyone."

But it was his brand new long blonde hair that caught people's attention, with many online taking to the comment section to share their opinions.

"Rocking that jesus look bro @jonahhill ?," wrote Instagram user @kyleforbes1988.
He was joined by @jazzflan_13, who expressed her shock by putting "Omfg u do look like Jesus. Amen ??," along with dozens of others who agreed that Jonah's new look harked back to the awaited Messiah.

However, others weren't so sure about the whole thing, with many Instagrammers' thoughts going in a completely different direction. Rather than Jesus Christ, they insisted that Jonah looked exactly like fellow actor Jared Leto.
"I can’t tell if you look like if Jared Leto was trying to play you in a movie or if you were trying to play Jared Leto in a movie," joked @evanbulber.
He wasn't the only one who thought the 35-year-old looked exactly like the Suicide Squad star, with @darkykong writing: "Jonah Leto?"

The comparisons just kept on coming, with certain followers deciding that Jonah's new look carried other connotations:

Rather than get into the lookalike game, other people on Instagram simply congratulated the 21 Jump Street actor on growing such fabulous long hair. "You have such luscious golden locks you’re truly an awesomely beautiful man ?," commented Instagrammer @jporracchio.
So, does Jonah look like Jesus, Jared Leto, a weed smoker, or someone else? The options are seemingly endless!
Typical depictions of Jesus show him with long hair, blue eyes and white skin. However, experts have insisted that the Son of God's Middle Eastern roots suggest that he was far from the fair-eyed, pale-skinned chap we all recognise today.
2018 was a busy year for Jonah, with him starring in the Netflix series Maniac and making his directorial debut with Mid90s.
In 2019, he will be back on our screens playing Lewis in The Beach Bum, as well as reprising his roles as Snotlout Jorgenson in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, and Green Lantern in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.
