Justin Bieber has taken to Instagram to declare that Tom Cruise is "toast" as he appeared to renew his challenge to fight the actor, an offer that the musician first put forward in 2019.
Back in June 2019, Bieber took to social media and addressing the 58-year-old father-of-three, wrote: "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don’t take this fight you’re scared and you will never live it down."

He also encouraged UFC boss Dana White to organize the fight, asking: “Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?”
Some days after the post, the 'Yummy' singer told TMZ he believed that Cruise would probably "whoop my a** in a fight".
He added: "I’d have to get in good shape, I’m really skinny right now. I think he’d probably be out of my weight class because he’s big, you know, he’s got that dad strength."
And now, nearly two years after the initial challenge, the 26-year-old seems to have reignited the offer of a fight between himself and the Academy award-nominated actor.
In a recent Instagram post (uploaded January 3), a still from Bieber's latest music video for his single 'Anyone' is shown. In the new music video, Bieber portrays a prizefighter.

He captioned the tongue-in-cheek post, which featured an image from the music video for 'Anyone': "Tom Cruise is toast."
While it was likely not at all serious, it did get the attention of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who took to the comments to share his support for the Canadian hitmaker.
In reference to a line from Sylvester Stallone's Rocky, the actor wrote: "‘You’re gonna eat lightning and c**p thunder’. Go get 'em bro."
On the other hand, Bieber's mom, Patty Mallette, sounded a lot less keen about a potential fight, having commented: "WHY!!!??????"
Bieber said of the release of 'Anyone': "I can’t think of a better way to close out 2020 and kick off 2021 than celebrating with my fans all over the world and sharing this new music with them.
"Music has gotten us all through so much this year, and for me personally it’s been healing and transformative. 'Anyone' is such a special, hopeful, anthemic song. It sets the tone for a brighter new year full of hope and possibility."
