Ruby Rose has accused Katy Perry of sexual assault in a number of bombshell posts on Sunday night (April 12).
The Orange Is The New Black actress, 40, took to Threads to speak about the alleged incident, which she says happened almost two decades ago.
Rose was replying to an article posted online about Perry's reaction to Justin Bieber's unorthodox Coachella set, admitting that it has "taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly."
Perry, 41, was attending the popular music festival with partner Justin Trudeau, and caused some chatter online after joking about Bieber having YouTube Premium, in reference to his nostalgic, MacBook-led Coachella set.
But now, the artist is at the centre of some very serious allegations from the Australian actress.
Rose commented below the article about Perry, stated: “Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s*** what she thinks.”
Many social media users then flooded her replies with questions, leading to the Batwoman star to providing the full background on her claims.
She explained that it took place in her "early 20s", adding: “It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly.
“Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes.”
Replying to another comment, Rose alleged: “She didn’t kiss me. She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face till my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.
“After it I threw up on her. I told the story publicly but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it.
"Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn’t a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone.”
Rose then opened up about the "traumatic" experience, explaining: “Before I open up about something incredibly raw and traumatic, I tell myself ‘it’s ok, you don’t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer.’
"But then I see this post and … tears consume me, in a good way. Thank you.”
Perry is yet to respond to the allegations from Rose, with it still unclear if there is any truth to them.
The pair have a history of not getting along, as the actress had criticized Perry's music in 2017, describing it as "purposeful poop."
Speaking more on Threads, the actress wrote: "I want to thank all the brave women who have come forward with their stories about sexual abuse. Especially the ones who went through the painful process of going through the police and court system.
"For years I have been too wounded and afraid to take the appropriate steps because I know the system seldom works."
She spoke of being "awoken by PTSD flashbacks" due to the trauma, saying that she has "lashed out" in the past as she "needed to protect myself."
Rose then revealed that she has gone to police with regards to her claims, telling followers: "Today I will be walking into a police station to see if any of my experiences can be investigated. I imagine they are past their statute of limitations, but all the more reason to try.
"I have a long list, it will probably take more out of me than I’m prepared for, but I will come back here to update others on the process, as soon as I am ready."
