American Idol judge Katy Perry has revealed that she's "quit shaving" her legs ever since becoming a mother to Daisy Dove on last night's episode.
The Firework singer and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, welcomed their tot in August of 2020, and like many new mothers, she hasn't had much time to get rid of her body hair. And nor should she feel the pressure to!
After the 36-year-old and her fellow judges, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, all confessed to being blown away by Cassandra Coleman's performance this weekend, Katy's leg hairs had quite the reaction.
"Your voice is a spiritual experience. It is otherworldly, angelic," she said. "As a new mother I don’t have very much time so I’ve quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. Full body chills! It was amazing."

Ryan Seacrest replied: "I tell you, Luke was checking to make sure you were telling the truth while you were talking." And then, to prove her point, Katy raised her legs onto the table so everyone could have a closer look.
"Don’t touch," she warned Luke. "She literally has leg hair!" he confirmed, to which Ryan responded, "Thank you for the forensic report."
Katy later took to Twitter to address the moment with a gif. She wrote: "An actual live look at my leg hair while I hear @casscoleman sing."

However, some fans pointed out online that her legs looked suspiciously smooth despite her protestations.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, back in February, the I Kissed A Girl singer opened up about the intensity of juggling motherhood and work.
"I started filming American Idol, season four, five weeks after I had given birth and I didn't plan on it but oh my God that was so intense," she said.
"Going back to work and breastfeeding. Holy c***, this is what women do. Oh my god. Women are the most powerful beings on the planet."
