Singer Katy Perry has shared a video of herself breast-pumping on social media this week, to encourage her followers to vote in the US election.

The video in question shows Perry, who recently gave birth to a baby girl, sitting on a chair facing away from the camera, wearing pajama bottoms, a dressing gown around her waist, and a nude bandeau top.

Have a look at the video here:

Perry then turns to the camera to show us that she is using a breast pump, and urges Americans to "get pumped" about registering to vote, as part of a promotional initiative spearheaded by Jane Fonda.

Also appearing in the video, aside from Fonda herself, are Amy Schumer, Kerry Washington, Ashley Benson, and Vanessa Hudgens.

Sharing the video with her 107 million followers, the 35-year-old pop icon, captioned her post:

"GET PUMPED TO VOTE!!! Okay so @orlandobloom and I have different views on what it means to get pumped these days but whoever said pumping isn’t a sport... I’d like to twist their nipples clockwise for one week straight. [sic]"

Watch the moment Katy Perry revealed her pregnancy:

She continued:

"ANYWAY I am going to exercise my right to vote!!!! Especially if @JaneFonda says I should. We’re getting in shape for the race of our lives this November and it has never been more important to #ExerciseThatVote. [sic]"

Perry may well have been referencing the fact that she has been using a breast pump a lot lately, after giving birth to her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, whom she had with Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom.

Perry certainly hasn't been shy about exposing her post-partum body on social media, and in a recent Instagram post, she shared a picture of herself wearing a nude nursing bra and a pair of grey high-waisted underwear while posing in her bathroom mirror.
