Katy Perry’s unborn baby gives her the middle finger during ultrasound scan

I guess it was a rather red-faced Mother's Day for singer and expectant mom, Katy Perry.

The 35-year-old 'California Girls' singer took to social media to reveal that she had gone for an ultrasound scan to check on the progress of her unborn baby girl.

However, it seems like her daughter wasn't too pleased with being disturbed, as the ultrasound video shows her flipping the bird to those in the room.

Perry captioned the video to her 95.7 million followers: "when your unborn daughter gives you a middle finger from the womb you know you’re in for it", along with the hashtag, "#HappyMothersDayToMe".

In the short video, Perry's chuckles as she realizes what's happening, and can be heard saying: "She literally is giving me the middle finger."

After just a few hours of the humorous video being uploaded to Instagram, it has already received more than 2.5 million views.

This will be Perry’s first child, whom she is expecting with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

The couple has been dating since 2016, and got engaged on Valentine’s Day last year.

Perry announced her pregnancy with fans back in March, when she released the music video for her single, 'Never Worn White', which showed Perry cradling her growing baby bump.

She explained during an Instagram Live promoting the song: "There’s a lot that’s happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth, literally, and figuratively… to something you guys have been waiting for. I’m excited, we’re excited, and happy.

"It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music."

Last night, Perry also dressed as an elephant to perform 'Baby Mine' from Disney's Dumbo as part of The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II.

However, rather than sing the heartwarming song to her unborn child, she sang it to her pet poodle, Nugget.
