With his unwavering ability to put a smile on the face of every person he meets, along with the fact that he is quite obviously immortal, it would be safe to presume that Keanu Reeves is a superhero among men.

But in a clear case of art imitating life, the John Wick star has penned his own series of comic books. And if that wasn't exciting enough, the comics star Keanu Reeves as an immortal superhero! It is essentially his autobiography.

Speaking to USA Today about the exciting project, Reeves said: "I guess I'm in the writing room."

Reeves also said that he has been "Skyping pretty regularly" with the comic's co-writer Matt Kindt, adding: "We're excited about what's happening. The story's taking some really interesting twists and turns."

The official title for the 12-part series is BRZRKR - and they have been published by Boom! Studios.

On the official announcement on Boom! Studio's website, Reeves says: "I have loved comics since I was a young kid and they have been a significant influence on me artistically.

"To have the chance to create BRZRKR and collaborate with legends in the industry like writer Matt Kindt, artist Alessandro Vitti, color artist Bill Crabtree, letterer Clem Robins, and conceptual/cover artist Rafael Grampá – along with the great folks at BOOM! Studios – is a dream come true."

Sharing the announcement on their official Instagram account, Boom! Studios wrote: "We're thrilled to announce BRZRKR, a twelve-issue series from the iconic Keanu Reeves in his Must Read comic book writing debut."

So, is the comic book worth reading? Well, judging from the following official synopsis, it sounds like something I won't be able to ever put down - check it out:

"The man known only as Berzerker is half-mortal and half-God, cursed and compelled to violence... even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the world for centuries, Berzerker may have finally found a refuge – working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else.

"In exchange, Berzerker will be granted the one thing he desires – the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence... and how to end it."

The stunning illustrations you're seeing were created by the incredibly talented Alessandro Vitti, who has worked in the industry since 2001.

If BRZRKR is like anything else Reeves has produced, I have no doubt it will be... breathtaking.
