Parents have a tendency to gush over their children's achievements - whether or not these "achievements" are actually something to be proud of.
We've all seen moms and dads express hyperbolic excitement at their toddlers' drawings (read: mindless scribbles). But every once and a while, a genuinely talented child - a prodigy, no less - comes along and produces an absolute masterpiece. Just ask Kim Kardashian.
Yesterday, Kim shared a beautiful painting of an absolutely stunning mountainous landscape. And when I say stunning, I mean the artwork would give Van Gogh himself a run for his money.
It's particularly impressive considering it's supposedly the work of a seven-year-old child - namely, Kim K's eldest daughter North.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the reality star shared a snap of the painting, captioning it: "My little artist North".
Unfortunately for Kim, though, no one believes her daughter - talented though she may be - is actually responsible for the picture.
For example, one person took to Twitter to say: "i’m supposed to work but i can’t stop thinking about how north west did not paint this [sic]."
Another wrote, "Don’t underestimate the ability of children. My dog is only 7 and painted this yesterday" alongside a picture of the Mona Lisa.
A third skeptic said: "I will bet anything (even my life) that this painting was not done by North West."
Another Twitter user asked: "North really painted that?? a 7-year-old child painted that???"
Back in April 2017, Kim told Ellen DeGeneres that North is "really, really smart" and "knows how to outsmart" her parents.
"She is Kanye’s twin," she said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Same personality, says the same wild things. … I mean, she’ll just sit, looking at me, and be like ‘Mommy, I don’t like Ellen,’ or whoever it is. And I’m just like, ‘Not now!’ And she’s just like, ‘Why, Mom? I’m being honest.’"
The 40-year-old then went on to call five-year-old Saint her "twin", explaining, "He’s so sweet. And he’s just, like, such a good, good boy. Like, such a good person. North just beats him up all day long, and he so doesn’t cry."
