Kim Kardashian West has entered into a deal with music streaming service, Spotify, to produce and host an exclusive new podcast, per The Verge.

This follows Spotify's landmark contract last month with podcast veteran Joe Rogan, who is moving his popular show, The Joe Rogan Experience, to the platform later this year.

The reality television star's deal with Spotify was first reported on Wednesday.

Kardashian West will host the unnamed podcast, which will reportedly focus on her work with the Innocence Project, a non-profit organization that seeks to exonerate wrongfully convicted offenders through means such as DNA testing.

The 39-year-old has been a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform in recent years, and has been studying to become a lawyer through an apprenticeship program.

According to the publication, the podcast, which will be distributed under the Parcast network Spotify acquired last year, will highlight both Kardashian West’s involvement, and the investigative work of co-producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi. Both will co-produce and co-host the show.

One of the topics is likely to be their investigation into the case of Kevin Keith, who was convicted of a triple murder in 1994.

While a judge commuted his death sentence in 2010 after new evidence came to light, Keith remains incarcerated in Marion Correction Institute with a sentence of life without parole.

"I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Keith through a video visit & was so impressed w/ the amazing programs he created in prison to help others inside better themselves! So much evidence has been uncovered proving Kevin’s innocence. I hope justice is served soon & he is released," Kardashian West wrote on Twitter at the time.

Back in 2018, Kardashian West convinced President Donald Trump to commute the life sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a nonviolent drug offender charged with attempted possession of cocaine and conspiracy to possess cocaine. Before she was released, she had served 22 years in jail.

As of now, it is unclear what the financial terms for the deal are, though media reports detailed that Rogan's exclusive contract with Spotify was worth more than $100 million.
Spotify have declined to comment on the specifics of the deal.
