Kourtney Kardashian had strict rules for Travis Barker as she gave birth - namely, he wasn't allowed to look at his "favorite thing".

The couple, who married in 2022, have been open about their journey to expand their family.

Kourtney had been undergoing IVF treatment but decided to stop due to side effects, including depression.

"We are officially done with IVF. We would love a baby more than anything, but I really believe in what God has in store for us. If that's a baby, I believe it will happen," Kourtney shared on an episode of The Kardashians.

She also disclosed that previous IVF attempts had not been successful, noting: "[I had] seven frozen eggs from years ago, before Travis. Most of mine didn’t survive the thaw. Freezing of eggs isn’t guaranteed. It’s a misunderstanding."

In an interview with Vanity Fair Italia, Kourtney recalled telling Barker: "If we’re meant to have a baby, then it’s just going to happen." True to her belief, when they stopped pushing against the tide, nature took its course.

"When we stopped forcing the process, then it happened," she revealed.

Kourtney already had three children - Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, eight - whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, 40.

Travis also has two children, Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, 48.

The couple welcomed their first child together, son Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2023.

Kourtney chose to keep some privacy during the birth of her son, as revealed in this week's episode of The Kardashians, cited by PEOPLE.

The Lemme co-founder, 45, provided a behind-the-scenes look at her son's birth last November.

As she began experiencing contractions, her husband expressed his anticipation for witnessing his "first natural birth."

"Are you excited?" Kourtney asked, to which Travis replied: "I'm a little frightened."

Kourtney was clear about her boundaries during the birth, saying: "You're not gonna look at my vagina."

Travis responded: "I'm gonna be right there. I'm gonna catch him."

"You really can't be there. I mean, you can, but I don't want to..." Kourtney began, trailing off.

Travis replied: "You don't want me to see her like that?"

Referring to her vagina, Kourtney continued: "To be traumatized by your favorite thing in the world."

"Yeah, I get it," Travis conceded.
