Lana Rhoades has recently opened up about her earnings while she was one of the top adult performers in the world.
The former adult star, who also goes by her real name Amara Maple, ended up quitting the industry after a short eight-month stint, realizing it just wasn't for her.
Speaking in a new interview with Curious Mike, the 27-year-old revealed that she had a difficult time figuring things out when she first started her career at the age of 19.
"There's not really anything set up to protect girls that are young and vulnerable that don't know how to say no or don't have self-respect for themselves yet or care for themselves or love themselves because they've been through so much and are like taught not to," she told the host.

Rhoades also added that she was around lots of older men in their forties who influenced her in ways just to make themselves more money, but despite her being a crucial part of that equation, she was left with only "pickles."
"I thought $100 at the time was like so much money," she said. "So getting $1,200 [for a scene] was like a big deal."
She also added that a lot of the women who were in the industry came from small towns so they believed the amount they were being paid was a lot.
However, that all changed after Rhoades came across an influencer who was monetizing her social platforms and earning $15,000 to post content on Instagram without having to perform sex.
"The guys don't understand what's going on behind the scenes and then also people are like, 'Oh you knew what you got into' and you get backlash for talking out about it," she explained.
"I think it's because men like consuming p*rn and they don't want to feel guilty for consuming it and so they don't want to hear that I felt the way that I felt."
Back in 2021, in an interview on Harry Jowsey's 'Tap In' podcast, the star stated that she held none of the rights to her work on the adult platform P*rnHub or she would have gotten rid of it all.
"So P*rnHub, a lot of the videos I have no rights under over or otherwise I probably would have deleted them all by now."
When asked whether she regrets taking part in the videos, Rhoades confirmed that she does, adding: "I do, I honestly tell people if I could go back I would give up everything to have my dignity and respect back and for people to not be able to see me in that way."
The 27-year-old has now given up her X-rated career and spends her time being an influencer on Instagram and has even started up her own lingerie line.
We're glad she's managed to find her true calling.
