Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time Formula One World Champion, is set to leave Mercedes and join Ferrari, according to reports.
As reported by Sky News, Hamilton is allegedly set to join up with Scuderia Ferrari at the start of the 2025 season.
The driver will compete with Mercedes for the upcoming season, where he has been since 2013 and has accumulated a large collection of silverware in that time.
Hamilton burst onto the scene in 2007 when he was 22 years old, driving for McLaren, and became the youngest World Champion in history in 2008 - a record which was later broken by Sebastian Vettel.
Toto Wolff, the Chief Executive of Mercedes is due to make a formal announcement later today about Hamilton's future.
It is unclear who will be leaving the Ferrari team to make space for Hamilton, but eyes will be on Carlos Sainz who is often seen as the second driver behind Charles Leclerc.
Hamilton holds the record for the most pole positions and has surpassed several other records for race wins and podium finishes. His achievements extend beyond the racetrack, as he is known for his philanthropy, activism, and efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in motorsports.
Both Ferrari and Mercedes will be seeking to end Red Bull's dominance in the sport, so fans will be eagerly watching to see how this driver move pans out.
