Unearthed footage of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus has revealed a seriously awkward moment the couple shared just months before they split.
In clip which was filmed in February 2019, the Australian actor, 31, looked visibly embarrassed when the former Disney star, 28, began to twerk on the red carpet at a Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.
The moment recently resurfaced after it was posted to Instagram on Monday (April 26) by the @popcultureangel account.
It was captured on camera a mere two months after Cyrus and Hemsworth said "I do" in December 2018.
Watch Cyrus twerk in front of an embarrassed Hemsworth below:While being interviewed by Acess, Cyrus decided to twerk, much to the embarrassment of Hemsworth, who took a step away from her when she began to perform the move.
"Don't do it. Don't do it," he said. "You're scaring everyone on the carpet."
It was at this point that the Wrecking Ball singer stopped and looked awkwardly at her then-husband.
The actor was wearing his wedding ring in the video which was recorded months before the famously on-and-off couple filed for divorce.
Another post from April 0f 2019 at the Avengers: Endgame premiere also showed further tension between the pair.
In a video from the event, Miley can be seen trying to pose seductively, but her husband was not willing to do the same, and simply put his hand around her waist.
Miley was then seen pushing his hands away as he smiled in embarrassment, before lifting her arms to pose.
The couple went on to file for divorce four months after they were pictured at the event, marking the end of their decade-long on-and-off relationship and eight months of marriage.
In the comments section of the @popcultureangel post, fans were quick to speculate that Cyrus was "too powerful" for Hemsworth to handle.
One fan wrote: "she was too powerful for him [sic]."
A second added: "he's so boring [sic]."
Meanwhile, a third wrote: "Miley is the main character and Liam was just real life jake no fussin [sic]."
Almost years two on from the couple's split, Hemsworth is now dating Australian model Gabriella Brooks.
