Lizzo has taken to Instagram to post a steamy near-nude picture which has pushed the platform's community guidelines to their limit.

The singer-songwriter, who is no slouch when it comes to uploading content that skirts the line between SFW and NSFW, uploaded the steamy image on Thursday, October 8, in the name of spreading a message of body positivity with the world.

In the past, Lizzo posted this raunchy video of herself dancing in a bikini:

In a post made to her 9.2 million Instagram followers, the 32-year-old plus-sized musician uploaded a picture of herself looking distinctly au naturel, turning her body away from the camera, but looking over her shoulders and down at the ground with an expression of pride.

Lizzo captioned her post: "BBW THE B STAND FOR BREAKFAST [sic]"

Although Lizzo looks bare-bodied in the picture, her long hair covers up her butt, and the angle of the shot meant that she didn't expose her chest. Not only that, but if you look at the picture very closely, you can see that she's actually wearing a skintight bodysuit to cover what Instagram doesn't allow us to see.

Suffice it to say that Lizzo's followers loved the body-positive snap. Take a look at some of the reactions to her post from her loyal fans:

In a recent interview with Vogue, Lizzo opened up about her self-esteem and philosophy of body positivity, stating:

"I think it’s lazy for me to just say I’m body positive at this point. It’s easy. I would like to be body-normative. I want to normalize my body. And not just be like, ‘Ooh, look at this cool movement. Being fat is body positive.’"

She continued:

"No, being fat is normal. I think now, I owe it to the people who started this to not just stop here. We have to make people uncomfortable again, so that we can continue to change. Change is always uncomfortable, right?"

And this is far from the first time that Lizzo has pushed the envelope on social media. Back in March, the outraged artist took to TikTok to ask the site's moderators why they'd decided to remove videos she'd uploaded of herself wearing swimsuits.

In a video posted to her official TikTok account, Lizzo sang to the camera and wrote in a caption: "TikTok keeps taking down my videos of me in my bathing suits. But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why? TikTok…we need to talk. [sic]"

A spokesperson for TikTok later told The Guardian that one of their moderators decided to ban the videos out of an erroneous belief that they had been posted for the purposes of "sexual gratification," after Lizzo posted a clip of herself lifting up her skirts.

They continued: "We love Lizzo’s creativity. And the videos were originally removed because of other violations, not a bathing suit."

The spokesperson added that once the undergarments she exposed were confirmed to be Spanx and not underwear, Lizzo's videos were reinstated as originally uploaded.
