Lizzo has threatened to quit her career as social media trolls continue to body shame her online.

Over her entire career, the 35-year-old singer has been forced to repeatedly speak out about people thinking they have the right to comment on her body or her health but things have seemingly gotten worse over the past few months as more and more trolls continue to jump on the hate train.

The ‘Good as Hell’ hitmaker was left seething after seeing a nasty comment from author Layah Heilpern on Twitter which read: "How is Lizzo still THIS fat when she’s constantly moving this much on stage?! I wonder what she must be eating."

Reposting the remark, Lizzo went on a massive rant, saying: "JUST logged on and the app and this is the type of s*** I see about me on a daily basis It’s really starting to make me hate the world."

She continued: "Then someone in the comments said I eat “lots of fast food” I LITERALLY STOPPED EATING FAST FOOD YEARS AGO… I’m tired of explaining myself all the time and I just wanna get on this app w/out seeing my name in some bulls***."

In a separate tweet, the Grammy-award winner stated that she "hated" Twitter due to people feeling like they can just say whatever they want to her, adding that "this is what my body looks like when I'm eating clean and working out."

"Y’all really need to touch grass… I’m not trying to BE fat I’m not trying to BE smaller I’m literally just trying to live and be healthy," she fumed. "This is what my body looks like even when I’m eating super clean and working out! Yall speak on s*** y’all know NOTHING ABOUT and I’m starting to get heated."

"I HATE IT HERE," she added in all caps before going on another rant.

"The Love definitely do not outweigh the Hate on social media… all because I’m fat???? This is CRAZY. Y’all don’t know how close I be to giving up on everyone and quitting and enjoying my money and my man on a F****** FARM…"

"I literally NEVER search my name this stuff just comes up on my TL & my FYP it’s wild. I swear I just wanna look at dance videos and science news and this s*** comes in every day…" the star added.

Lizzo also emphasized that "being fat isn’t [her] brand", urging people to let go of that narrative just because she’s a plus-sized performer.

"ALSO: to the people who haven’t had an original thought or fresh air in years… BEING FAT ISN’T MY ‘BRAND’ BEING FAT IS WHAT MY BODY LOOKS THAT. THATS IT. THATS ALL. My ‘brand’ is FEEL GOOD MUSIC My ‘brand’ is CHAMPIONING ALL PEOPLE My ‘brand’ is BLACK GIRL LIBERATION," she said. "I’ve always led w my TALENT… But when I dropped Good As Hell feel good music was ‘corny’ When I dropped Juice disco pop wasn’t ‘for them’[,] When I was body positive in 2016 being body positive was ‘pandering’[.] Now everybody on that wave and I’m still s*** on?! Man f*** y’all."

Since the posts, the star has made her Twitter account private.

However, her rants did not stop there as the 'Boys' singer took to Instagram to let everybody know that she "hated" them alongside an array of stunning selfies.

Not only that, but she also posted a clip from a recent performance at the BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival in Napa Valley, emphasizing how difficult people make it for "fat people to simply exist" before adding: "IF THE INTERNET WAS LIMITED AND ONE COMMENT TOOK 24HRS TO POST I WONDER WHAT SOCIAL MEDIA WOULD BE LIKE."

Thankfully thousands of fans took to the comments to express their love for the star, with many stating that she's an inspiration for speaking out.

As if it's 2023 and people are still sending hate online? I thought we left that behavior back in 2018 where it belongs.
