Lizzo has taken to TikTok to dispel a rumor that she accidentally killed a fan at her concert after stage diving into the crowd.

Like most celebrities, the 'Truth Hurts' singer has had to deal with many untrue claims being made about her.

However, one completely unfounded rumor has kept making the rounds on the internet and so Lizzo felt compelled to put an end to it.

In a video posted on the platform on Wednesday, July 28, the chart-topper told her 17 million followers: "So, I’ve seen a lot of annoying things about me on the internet but the thing that bothers me the most is this rumor that I stage dived at a concert and killed somebody."

Check out what she had to say here:

She continued: "Like, that rumor, it's a lie, first of all. I’ve never stage dived in my life and b****, how, like killed somebody? Y’all really gon' put that on my m************ name? Like, I know I’m big but b****, I’m not that f****** big."

Lizzo then proceeded to demonstrate a stagedive on her bed in order to demonstrate that the impact isn't as great as some might think. She then concludes the clip by shouting "b****" at the camera while still on her bed after the "stage dive".

Unsurprisingly, the video has since racked up 2 million likes and over 28,000 comments, at the time of writing.

It goes without saying that Lizzo's fans had a lot to say about the outrageous rumor, with one sharing this consolation: "If it helps, I've never heard that! And if someone believes it they are gullible!"

Another commented: "It be the ones that don't wanna see you winning. [sic]"

A third added: "Whoever said that ain't seeing them pearly gates."

While another final die-hard fan wrote: "I would be honored if you staged dived and killed me."

So, there you have it, Lizzo has quashed this frankly ludicrous long-running rumor once and for all.
