The 32-year-old 'Perfect' hitmaker, known for his closeness with fans, found himself in a hilarious predicament when presented with the certificate.
With a cheeky grin, he reportedly quipped: "Is it legit?" before adding his signature and joking, "Okay I’ll sign it."
But he didn’t just leave it at that. When asked if he was planning on staying in Jakarta, Louis wittily responded: "If my wife wants me to."
The fan, known as @ladycryalot on TikTok, shared her bewildering yet thrilling experience online, holding up what appeared to be a genuine marriage certificate adorned with pictures of her and Louis.
"So I just got back from Faith In The Future Jakarta, and I lost my voice because I was having so much fun," she narrated. "I went there as a single woman, right. I don’t have any boyfriend, I don’t have any fiancé, but I got back from there as a married woman, because he signed a marriage certificate of me and him. I’m a married woman. I am married to Louis Tomlinson. I am his lawfully wedded wife."
She continued to express her shock and delight, barely believing her own words as she repeated: "IF MY WIFE WANTS TO. I’m. His. Wife. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Because I can’t."
Needless to say, the act garnered plenty of attention online, with one person commenting: "lol how many fanfics will be written about this? Almost like the classic my mom sold me to one direction one."
Another chimed in: "to be fair, I'd want to marry him too. i mean i won't go down that route but i can see where she's coming from."
A third penned: "Ya know, the girl has gumption, I’ll give her that."
But before you start sending congratulations their way, it's crucial to note that in Indonesia, a legal marriage requires more than just an autograph—it needs a ceremony recognized by law. So no, it’s not official.
Still, this playful exchange is a testament to why fans adore Louis. It’s not just his music but his ability to make every interaction a memorable one. Well, you gotta live while you're young!
