Machine Gun Kelly has explained why Megan Fox wore an engagement ring designed to cause physical discomfort if removed.
The couple first started dating back in 2020 after the two starred in Machine Gun Kelly's music video for his track 'Bloody Valentine'.

In 2022, the pair announced their engagement with a proposal video shared on the Jennifer's Body actress' Instagram. The post has since been removed from her page.
The clip showed the 34-year-old rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, getting down on one knee and popping the all-important question.
The 38-year-old star penned in the caption: "And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes...and then we drank each other's blood," cited by Vanity Fair.
In an interview with Vogue, the 'Home' rapper shared that he worked with British jewelry designer Stephen Webster to create the engagement ring, which is made from two magnetic bands that interlock.
The unique rings feature two pear-cut stones, a diamond, and an emerald, that form the shape of a heart when worn together.
"The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings," MGK explained. "When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart."
He then revealed that the one-of-a-kind two-stone ring was designed to cause physical pain if removed. "The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts. Love is pain," he added.

Despite the pain-inducing design, Fox removed the ring and the couple eventually ended their engagement, the actress revealed in an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast back in March.
Host Alex Cooper asked the Transformers star: "I feel like everyone has such an opinion on your guys' relationship. You got engaged, then I think it was called off, then we don't know what's going on with you. How would you describe your relationship with MGK?"
"All those things you said were accurate things that have occurred. I could see them being confusing, or interesting to people, and them being like, 'What’s up?'" Fox responded.
"I think that what I've learned from being in this relationship is that it's not for public consumption, so I think as of now, I don't have a comment on like the status of the relationship per se," Fox continued. "What I can say is [he] is what I refer to as being my 'twin soul' and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what."
The couple has since rekindled their relationship and announced that they are expecting a child together.
In a heartwarming post shared to Instagram, the Till Death star shared a stunning image from a photo shoot, showing her posing nude - proudly cradling her growing bump - while her body is covered in thick black paint.
"Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back," the caption read, followed by an angel baby and love-heart emojis.
The incredible news comes after Fox opened up about the couple suffering a miscarriage last year.
