Madonna has clapped back at a troll who slammed her post about Daunte Wright.

She shared a graphic video of the recent shooting of the unarmed Black man and wrote that she was disgusted by Chief Tim Gannon, who said that the officer who killed Wright was unable to tell the difference between her taser and gun.

The Queen of Pop's caption read: "This video of Daunte Wright's shooting is deeply upsetting [...] but equally so is Police Officer Tim Gannon's explanation of how it was all an accident.

"The shooting officer had a taser in one hand and a hand gun in the other.

"She warned everyone she was going to taser a handcuffed Daunte who was pulled over for a traffic violation and instead she shot and killed him!

"No way to fix this accident is there Tim??!!

"This is so infuriating and unacceptable. God bless Daunte and his family [sic]."

The majority of people who responded to Madonna's post did so with comments of solidarity for Wright's family and criticizing the prevalence of gun crime in the US.

One wrote: "The funniest/saddest thing is, [the US gives] lessons on freedom and human rights around the globe."

However, not everyone reacted so positively to the 'Like a Virgin' singer's post.

One woman slammed Madonna's post, making the assumption that she uses armed bodyguards.

The comment from @karengayler read: "I would bet you have people with guns to protect you and your family But the little people can be left unarmed. If you take the guns away criminals will ALWAYS find weapons."

She continued by explaining why she believes everyone in society should have access to firearms.

However, it wasn't long before Madonna hit back at the suggestion that she has armed security.

She wrote: "You know nothing about me or my life. The only criminals I see right now are the police who are paid to protect the people. But [the] police are protected by judges and the criminal justice system[,] which is a joke as there is no justice if you are a person of color."

Madonna's scathing clap-back didn't end there, however, and she added: "Of course your name is Karen."

A GoFundMe has now been set up by Wright's aunt, Kelly Bryant, to help cover his funeral costs.
