A female soldier has taken to social media this week to slam the United States Marine Corp for how the military handed her recent sexual assault case.
According to The Independent, the video was uploaded to TikTok by a user identified only as Davina, who also goes by the handle @gwotthot on Thursday, February 19.
In the video in question, Davina claims that she was sexually assaulted by a fellow member of the Corps, who is currently still serving in the military.
According to Davina's tearful account, the serviceman in question has been kept in the ranks due to the decision of an unnamed general, despite her claims that there is evidence backing his guilt and that he made an admission.
In the video in question, which has since managed to accrue over 9.5 million views, 2.4 million reactions, and 51,000 comments, a distraught Davina states:
"And this is exactly why f***ing females in the military f***ing kill themselves. This is exactly why nobody f***ing takes us seriously."
The footage was later shared by the Twitter account Not In My Marine Corps, picking up even more social media traction. This post was captioned:
"This is what happens when you report your assault in the @USMC. He admits his guilt and then is retained by the Commanding General after everyone else recommended do not retain."
A spokesperson for the United States Marines has since commented on the case, stating: "We are aware of the video circulating social media concerning one of our Marines.
"This video specifically refers to an allegation of misconduct regarding the wrongful appropriation & distribution of personal information.
"The current administrative separation process for the accused perpetrator mentioned in the video is ongoing. The Marine in the video is safe & has been afforded the opportunity to meet with senior representatives in her command."
The spokesperson added: "The Marine Corps & the Nation expect the highest standards of conduct from Marines & Sailors. Those who do not uphold these standards will be held accountable in accordance with Marine Corps & @deptofdefense policy.
"We take all allegations of prohibited conduct & activities seriously to ensure our people are fully supported with appropriate resources specific to the nature of an incident.
"The Marine Corps is committed to maintaining a culture of dignity, respect, fairness & trust in which all members of the organization are afforded equal treatment & opportunity to achieve their full potential based solely upon individual merit, fitness, intellect & ability."

Two Marines have come under fire for posting a Snapchat video of themselves in blackface.
The racist clip was reposted to Twitter by a user named Simar on February 23. In the video caption, he identifies one of the offending marines, Zach Highfield, and asks the US Marine's official account to comment on the footage.
The pair did not just dress up in blackface, they also made racist remarks too:

The clip opens with one of the men saying "blackface" before the man in front of him says, "Good morning, sir."
In response to this, the man at the back says, "Hello monkey."
"This is Zach Highfield, he's a Marine who is proudly displaying his bigotry by wearing blackface in his military gear," Simar said of the footage. "The man behind him who says 'hello monkey' hasn't been identified yet. Care to comment on this racist behavior @USMC?"
Simar went on to post a photograph of Highfield in uniform to shame him for his remarks.

In response to the backlash, Highfield said, "It looks a lot worse than it is. It was a bad mistake. We had no intention to offend."
The second Marine remains unidentified.

The clip was filmed at the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) in San Diego California. A spokesman issued a statement about the incident an email to USA TODAY:
"Our leaders are committed to maintaining an environment of professionalism, dignity, and respect. 3rd MAW takes all allegations of discriminatory behavior very seriously as they stand in stark contrast of our core values of honor, courage, and commitment and do not reflect the discipline and professionalism of the Marines and Sailors of 3rd MAW.’"

A woman has reportedly been accused of bullying by TikTok for uploading a video of men who were secretly taking pictures of her in a swimsuit.
The social media user, who goes by username @Dabriielle on the app, shared footage of her walking up to three guys sitting by a lake.
One man could clearly be seen looking at a photo of two women in bikinis taken from a distance. Once he spots the woman, he swiftly switches the photo away in favor of a pic of him and a little girl.
But the woman claims she knew what she saw and so she furiously told the trio: "Wow, look at you looking at photos of us. I just caught you on video, you f***ing creeper."
"You’re all f***ing disgusting," she can be heard telling all three, before calling them "pervs".
As part of the video text, she urged other women to "start calling these men out" and stated that they were "secretly taking photos of us in our swimsuits".
She went on to explain in the video's caption that TikTok had taken down her previous video, which contained footage of the encounter, allegedly citing "bullying and harassment."
According to TikTok's community guidelines on abusive behavior, the social media giant removes "all expressions of abuse, including threats or degrading statements intended to mock, humiliate, embarrass, intimidate or hurt an individual."
"LMAO" she wrote in her video's caption, before adding: "I think we were the ones getting harassed though."
The clip has since racked up over 280,000 views and 52,000 likes since it was posted a week ago.
The response was mixed, with many defending the woman and others reprimanding her for the way she acted in the video.
One person wrote: "I'm so sorry. But good job going up to him."
Another slammed the man who was caught looking at a pic he had allegedly taken of the woman. The user wrote: "How [do] you have a daughter and do stuff like this?"
Others defended the men, with one writing: "[It's] a public place if you don't like it cover up."
Another asked the original poster: "Why would [you] embarrass them?

Women put up with a lot of crap from guys. Obnoxious bros catcall women when they walk down the street, following them for blocks, wondering why they're not smiling. Odious creeps use their positions of power at work to take advantage of women, committing acts of sexual harassment and sexual assault. And oblivious dudes like me keep texting women repeatedly, despite not getting any response back. (You're just playing hard to get, right? Right? Right? I'll text you again tonight.)
Well, 2018 is a bad year to be a perv. (Sorry, pervs). Cameras are ubiquitous, so offensive behavior can get captured on video and uploaded to the Internet. Also, with the rise of #MeToo and #TimesUp, women aren't putting up with sexist shenanigans anymore. (Again, sorry, pervs). For example, if you think grabbing a lady's ass is a charming way to say hello, be warned: she might go WWE on your ass.

A Reddit user with the distinguished handle "sploogesock" posted a video recorded from a security camera at a restaurant. In the clip, a man in a red shirt gropes the server as he walks by. In the past, he might have gotten away it, but not this time. The server chases him down, grabs him by the collar and slams him into the garbage can. (And all while keeping her docket pad in hand!)
In the Reddit post, Mr. Sploogesock claimed to be the cousin of the server, and revealed the man was arrested in the restaurant later in front of his wife and two kids. (Although she might not be his wife for much longer!) Posted on the "Justice Served" subreddit, the thread went viral, earning 50,000 upvotes. The video was then picked up by The Chive, who posted it on their Facebook page, getting 450,000 views. Congrats, groping guy. You're famous.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/Brendanokane2/status/1019371478154817536]]
In the comments, one Redditor joked, "She’s a server... of justice." Another person wondered, "Why do people think it's ok for them to touch someone like that? What if someone grabbed his wife like that?" One individual claimed to be an employee at the restaurant, writing "This literally happens ALL the time. We just put the cameras up so this was the first guy we've been able to prosecute."
Of course, women aren't surprised by this type of behavior. In the replies, several ladies shared stories about scummy guys copping a feel. In some cases, they were able to counter-act, getting in a quick elbow jab or punch. But in many cases, the groper got away, making this video cathartic. "This was extremely satisfying to watch," wrote one Redditor.
So, if you're a perv, you might want to hop in the DeLorean and time travel back to a more primitive era, without cameras or the Internet. Or you could just, like, stop groping women. Because one of them might lay the smack down.

Starbucks literally just finished racial bias training - we've been told time and time again that discrimination against anyone for essentially existing and doing all the crap people seemingly do every day is not right (you shouldn't have to be told anyway, it should be instilled upon you from birth) yet here we are again with another clown.
Footage has emerged of a man racially abusing a worker at a fast food restaurant for not honoring his burger voucher.
The man launches a vile tirade against the server at the Jack in a Box restaurant in Manvel, Texas where at one point he threatens to send her "back to Mexico."
The original video by Lupita Rangel, was posted here by Wolfie Hernandez, the original post translates to, "I buy you a ticket back to #Mexico", so threaten this man to a Latina employee in a #jackinthebox, apparently the man got upset because he didn't make a coupon that was already beaten, the facts happened to #south From #Houston."
Lupita herself posted: "Never thought i'd experience racism so close."
Another member of staff steps in to try and identify what the issue is. The man responds "She lied her a** off. She thought she could get away with it." While the member of staff tries to tell the man that he will be getting what he had asked for, the man interjects, and claims he had seen the woman dropping food.
He then asks the woman's name and says "goodbye Maria. I'm going to buy you a ticket back to Mexico." The man then storms out of the premises. The video has been viewed over 86,000 times, with many people sharing their outrage at the footage.
Jason Steinberg wrote: "Another day, another angry racist." Christopher Green wrote: "That's horrible. People go through life angry about the smallest things and that talk such hatred ... karma will get him."
Hopefully, a similar fate befalls the unnamed man as it did New York lawyer, Aaron Schlossberg. His racist rant lead to some rather delicious just desserts.
People posted so many negative reviews on his law firm’s Yelp listing that Yelp themselves had to intervene. The company says its policy for news making businesses is to remove posts “that appear to be motivated more by the news coverage itself than the reviewer’s personal consumer experience with the business”.
New reviews about the law firm that apparently slipped through the filtering range from ironically helpful—like how concerned New Yorkers can lodge complaints—to tabloid headline-like condemnations (and subtle sketch show references) such as: “Ya done messed up now, A-a-ron!!”
Schlossberg is no longer welcome in the building where he rents office space. This is probably the result of critics quickly locating Schlossberg’s office listing on Google Maps.
Not only did this include changing the business category to “Mexican Restaurant” and swapping a photo of the attorney for an image of a dog being hit in the face with a frisbee, they also created a GoFundMe page raising “$500 to send a Mariachi band to cheer up the staff and attorneys at The Law Office of Aaron M. Schlossberg Esq. after a difficult day”.
Unsurprisingly, Schlossberg has a history of being a complete a**hole. Internet sleuths and activists dug up dirt on Schlossberg, including video of him calling someone an “ugly f**king foreigner” and photos of him in the company of noted pro-Trump trolls not to mention berating Jewish people for going on marches for Palestine. Talk s**t, get hit...with the scorn of millions of Americans, united in their total disgust of you. Your time is coming, blue t-shirt man.

Madonna has clapped back at a troll who slammed her post about Daunte Wright.
She shared a graphic video of the recent shooting of the unarmed Black man and wrote that she was disgusted by Chief Tim Gannon, who said that the officer who killed Wright was unable to tell the difference between her taser and gun.
The Queen of Pop's caption read: "This video of Daunte Wright's shooting is deeply upsetting [...] but equally so is Police Officer Tim Gannon's explanation of how it was all an accident.
"The shooting officer had a taser in one hand and a hand gun in the other.
"She warned everyone she was going to taser a handcuffed Daunte who was pulled over for a traffic violation and instead she shot and killed him!
"No way to fix this accident is there Tim??!!
"This is so infuriating and unacceptable. God bless Daunte and his family [sic]."
The majority of people who responded to Madonna's post did so with comments of solidarity for Wright's family and criticizing the prevalence of gun crime in the US.
One wrote: "The funniest/saddest thing is, [the US gives] lessons on freedom and human rights around the globe."
However, not everyone reacted so positively to the 'Like a Virgin' singer's post.
One woman slammed Madonna's post, making the assumption that she uses armed bodyguards.
The comment from @karengayler read: "I would bet you have people with guns to protect you and your family But the little people can be left unarmed. If you take the guns away criminals will ALWAYS find weapons."
She continued by explaining why she believes everyone in society should have access to firearms.
However, it wasn't long before Madonna hit back at the suggestion that she has armed security.
She wrote: "You know nothing about me or my life. The only criminals I see right now are the police who are paid to protect the people. But [the] police are protected by judges and the criminal justice system[,] which is a joke as there is no justice if you are a person of color."
Madonna's scathing clap-back didn't end there, however, and she added: "Of course your name is Karen."
A GoFundMe has now been set up by Wright's aunt, Kelly Bryant, to help cover his funeral costs.
