Mama June's family want her to go back to the way that she was, but in staging an intervention for the celebrity mom things didn't go to plan.

On the season finale of From Not To Hot, Mama June's family members wanted to get their matriarch help for her drug problem, and although initially, there was hope, Mama June ended up in handcuffs on charges of drug possession.

"If this intervention doesn't work, she's mentally going to have an actual breakdown," said Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Shannon, Mama June's daughter, to the cameras, before addressing her mother, flanked by her sisters Jessica and Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, at Doe Doe's - Mama June's sister - house.

"Physically, it's like you don't care about your health," Pumpkin began. "I'm concerned about you. We care about you. Alana cares about you, Jessica cares about you, Doe Doe cares about you and it's like everybody’s trying to get you back healthy and you have tunnel vision and the only person you see is [June's boyfriend] Geno."

Then, it was the turn of Alanna Thompson, who broke down in tears as she explained that she'd been afraid to live in the same house as Mama June. "I swear to God mama it's not by choice," she sobbed. "I would love to come home and stay with you, tell you about my day, but I can't do that because I'm scared. I'm scared to stay at your house."

In response to the candid words from her daughters, Mama June broke down.

Here's how she responded to the intervention:

"Just ask Geno how many times I sit there and cry to him and be like, 'I hate my f***ing self. I want to f***ing kill the person that I am now," said an emotional Mama June. "Because I don't know who I am. I don't know if I want to 'kill myself' kill myself or I want to kill the person that has took over my body."

Not long after that, Mama June agreed to check into rehab, but stayed there less than a day after Geno checked her out of the facility. Two days later, June and Geno were arrested on drug possession charges, TMZ reported. Geno was also arrested on domestic violence charges, after allegedly threatening to kill June during the dispute.

"As soon as Geno got Mama from the treatment center, I knew it was over from there. Mama just got charged with possession of crack cocaine, which is a felony," recalled Pumpkin of the episode's events, while Doe Doe explained: "Since Mama June got arrested in Alabama, she has to stay there until she goes to court."

At the end of the episode, the family all recorded messages for Mama June and recalled her in happier times. Alanna talked about her concern for her mother:

"I really hope this is rock bottom for mama because once you hit rock bottom, there's no more going deeper -- you can only go up. I really hope mama's just thinking 'I just got arrested. I need to get it together. I need to get my s**t together.' If this isn't her wake-up call. I could possibly lose her forever."

"As of right now, my hopes for mama is honestly for her to get it together and her to leave Geno and just all-in-all get herself back to where she once was." Pumpkin added.
