Martha Stewart has revealed she would be open to going on a date with Pete Davidson, admitting she finds the comic "sort of cute".
The 81-year-old lifestyle expert appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, taking part in a game of "Red Flag, Yellow Flag, Green Flag." Essentially, she was pitched various dates and had to decide whether she would be up for the date (green), whether it was a firm no (red), or whether she was on the fence (yellow).
One of the dates Barrymore suggested was with someone who "has as many tattoos as Pete Davidson," and Stewart wasted no time in holding up her green flag. When Barrymore took the game up a notch and said this hypothetical rendezvous would actually be with Davidson - who is 53 years her junior - Stewart again signified her interest.
Check out what Stewart had to say about Davidson at the two-minute mark:“There’s a thing on the internet where everybody wants you to go on a date with him,” Barrymore told Stewart.
Stewart then pointed out that the 28-year-old SNL star has “dated so many women,” which she thought was a good thing.
“No, I’m not saying that’s bad,” she insisted. “I think that’s good and he’s sort of cute.”
In recent years, Hollywood's most eligible bachelor has dated the likes Kim Kardashian and Kate Beckinsale - and was even engaged to Ariana Grande.
The TV star went on to say that “everybody loves” Davidson, adding: “I know him…He was on the [Justin] Bieber roast with me, do you remember? He was this little twerp. He was even twerpier than Bieber.”
Barrymore cut in to add that people only have good things to say about Davidson, so “he has to be a good guy.”
Stewart agreed, saying: “Oh, he is a good guy. He’s a very good guy and he knows how to get in and get out.”
When Barrymore suggested "age is not a thing for" Davidson, Stewart appeared to dash everyone's hopes by responding: "He's like my lost son."
Stewart told the Daily Mail in August, following Davidson's split with Kim Kardashian, "He is like the son I never had."
She added: "He is a charming boy who is finding his way. I’ve invited him to come on my podcast and I look forward to hearing what he has to say."
