Matthew Perry has announced that he is engaged to his girlfriend, Molly Hurwitz, who is a 29-year-old literary agent.

According to Cosmopolitan, the couple began dating back in 2018 but only went public with details of their relationship back in February of this year on Valentine's Day, when Molly Hurwitz posted a picture of the actor to Instagram along with the caption, "Second year being my valentine, but his first as an Instagram influencer. HVD to my favourite," per PEOPLE.

Hurwitz's Instagram account is private, PEOPLE notes.

The Friends star broke the news to PEOPLE Magazine that he had proposed to Molly Hurwitz and that she had said yes. He told the publication:

“I decided to get engaged.

"Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.”

This wonderful news comes after Perry gave Friends another exciting update earlier this month - regarding the status of the hotly-anticipated Friends reunion show.

"Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that's the way I like it!" He wrote on Twitter.

Fans were predicatively ecstatic about the news, many responding to the tweet with GIFs of Perry's beloved Friends character, Chandler.

"Now this will make up for 2020," one thrilled fan wrote.

According to the Daily Mail, Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz spent the holidays together in 2019.

"According to my parents' custody agreement, my mother was not allowed to have a Christmas tree..." she captioned a photo of the pair of them, "Fortunately, there's no such agreement for a daughter's boyfriend, so Hurwitz gets a treeeeeeee!!!"

Last year, Perry and fellow Friends alum Courteney Cox delighted fans with a reunion picture posted to Instagram.
