His official death certificate has since been obtained by The Blast, revealing that the official cause of death is pending toxicology reports, a process that may take several weeks.

While the exact cause of Perry's death remains unconfirmed, initial toxicology reports indicate the absence of meth or fentanyl in his system at the time of the incident. Further testing is underway to determine if any prescription medication played a role.

Upon responding to Perry's residence, investigators found no illegal drugs but discovered properly labeled prescription medication stored in bottles. Perry had been candid about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, revealing in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, his reliance on opiates following a health crisis in 2018, per the Daily Mail.

Despite his past challenges, those close to Perry assert that he was clean and sober at the time of his passing. The death certificate also notes that Perry was "never married," a detail reflecting his struggles with loneliness and his desire for children, as revealed in his memoir.

Last week, an intimate funeral was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Perry's loved ones bidding their final farewells.

The ceremony, reported by TMZ, saw Perry's family, including his mother Suzanne Morrison, father John Bennett Perry, and stepfather Keith Morrison, carrying his coffin.
