Fans of the TV show Friends have paid tribute to the late Matthew Perry with a touching memorial outside the iconic New York City building seen in the sitcom.

Over the weekend, it was confirmed that the beloved actor had passed away at the age of 54.

TMZ and the Los Angeles Times were the first outlets to report that Perry had been found unresponsive in the hot tub of his home in LA.

BBC News has since reported that a post-mortem conducted on Perry yielded inconclusive results, and authorities are currently awaiting toxicology test outcomes. Additionally, no evident signs of trauma were noted, as verified by an LA Police representative to CBS News.

On Sunday, the LA County Medical Examiner's office provided an update, indicating the case was pending further review. Typically, this suggests that while the autopsy has been carried out, additional information is still required.
