Matty Healy has responded to being the alleged muse behind a handful of Taylor Swift's songs on her latest album.

Last week, we were treated to another iconic collection of hits by the one and only songwriter of this generation, Taylor Swift.

In a masterpiece double album titled 'The Tortured Poets Department', the 34-year-old gave her fans a whopping 31 songs, which was released at 2:00AM on Friday morning.

Posting the album cover alongside a heartfelt message, Swift introduced her 11th studio album to the world.

"It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album," Swift wrote. "I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore... it’s all yours."

It's been six days since then and now that the dust has settled a little, we're wondering what the (alleged) subjects of the album are thinking, especially Matty Healy.

The pair dated for a few months last year after it was announced that Swift and her long-term boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, had called it quits after six years together.

Even in such a short span of time together, it seems as though he had a massive impact on the 'Love Story' hitmaker, with fans speculating that the tracks 'loml', ' Guilty as Sin?', 'The Black Dog', and 'But Daddy I Love Him' had to be about him.

As per the Independent, on the track 'Guilty as Sin?' Swift sings about "fatal fantasies" for someone in her past who sends her the 1989 song 'The Downtown Lights' by the Scottish band The Blue Nile.

Healy has previously mentioned that The Blue Nile is his "favorite band of all time" and that The 1975’s song 'Love It If We Made It' was inspired by 'The Downtown Lights.'

And on 'But Daddy I Love Him,' Swift appears to address this criticism of her romance with Healy.

The lyrics read: "I’d rather burn my whole life down/ Than listen to one more second of all this b******' and moanin'/ I’ll tell you something 'bout my good name/ It’s mine along with all the disgrace/ I don’t cater to all these vipers dressed in empath's clothing."

So how does Healy feel about all of this?

Entertainment Tonight reported that the 1975 frontman was not feeling "tortured" over being the alleged muse behind his ex's album.

When questioned about how he feels about the "diss track[s]" written about him, he responded: "I haven't really listened to that much of it, but I'm sure it's good."

I mean, it must be pretty humbling knowing your existence inspired someone to write not only one, but multiple songs about you.

Fans had a mixed reaction over the response online.

"Lol, classic non-committal answer. It's like when you tell someone their baby is cute without actually looking," wrote one user, while another added: "It’s sad tbh he doesn’t look well. I am a fan of taylor but her fan base can be very cruel to her exes."

A third also pointed out that the songs weren't actually disses like this pap made them out to be.

"The way y'all didn't even listen to the album. over 10 songs on the album are about him and the vast majority are just detailing how in love she was with him," one person replied.

The Tortured Poets Department is now available to listen on all major music platforms.
