Megan Fox has faced criticism recently after she shared a link to a friend's GoFundMe, and she's since hit back at her critics.

The 37-year-old actress, known for her role in Jennifer's Body, amongst other things, caused outrage when she posted a screenshot on her Instagram story promoting a fundraiser for her longtime nail artist, Brittney Boyce.

Initially seeking $30,000 to cover medical expenses for Boyce's father, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the fundraiser had already raised $11,455 at the time of writing.

In her plea for donations, Boyce explained that the funds would help ease the financial burden on her family, allowing her father to focus on his health without the added stress of medical expenses.

Sharing the fundraiser with her followers, Fox wrote in her caption: "My friend's dad was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer if you guys are able to help please do."

However, the charitable post drew criticism from many fans, who pointed out that Fox's estimated net worth is around $8 million, leading some to argue that she should personally cover the medical expenses.

Fox has since clapped back at her critics, stating that those who observed that she is wealthy are "psychos".

Taking to Instagram stories, the 37-year-old penned: "Hey weirdos. Do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe Brit doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?"

Fox claimed that she was obliging the request of her friend, while adding that anything Boyce needs, she would just have to ask and the actress would deal with it "privately".

"One thing you’re not going to accuse me of is being miserly or lacking generosity," Fox continued. "So try again another day (probably tmwr!) with some different bulls*** you bunch of psychos."

This isn't the only criticism that Fox has responded to recently, as she had to defend her recent outfit choice – a completely sheer orange dress by Jean Paul Gaultier, worn with nipple pasties and nude underwear underneath.

After her stylist, Dimitris Giannetos, posted pictures of the outfit on Instagram, some users left negative comments, prompting Fox to make a follow-up post to defend her choice.

"Before you start angrily typing - those are not my nipples, calm down," Fox wrote in response. "They are safely and completely hidden under nipple covers so no worries. We will all live another day without a rip in the space-time continuum."

Fox certainly isn't afraid to give as good as she gets!
