Megan Fox has faced backlash on social media after sharing a link to a friend’s GoFundMe page.

The Jennifer's Body actress sparked outrage this week after she shared a screenshot on her Instagram story of her friend and longtime nail artist Brittney Boyce's fundraiser.

The GoFundMe was initially requesting $30,000 to help with medical expenses for Boyce's dad after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - with more than $7,500 raised at the time of writing.

Boyce expressed that she is asking for donations in the hopes of covering her father's medical expenses so that he can "focus on himself and not the stress on finances".

Learning of her friend’s fundraiser, the 37-year-old Transformer's star shared the screenshot and link with the caption: "My friend's dad was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer if you guys are able to help please do."

However, Fox's charitable call for action left many fans angry, with some claiming that she has a net worth of around $8 million and should pay it off herself.

Discussing the move on Twitter, one enraged person wrote: "Millionaire Megan Fox just posted a GoFundMe on her Instagram story for her friend's dad's 30 grand cancer medical bills and I am absolutely speechless."

Another chimed in: "Megan Fox sharing a GoFundMe for 30k has got to be a joke. As if she isn't rich as f**k and could help their friend immediately lol."

Someone else interjected: "THEN WRITE HIM A CHECK BOO-BOO YOU GOT 30k RIGHT NOW! The nerve. gross."

And, a fourth added (referencing Machine Gun Kelly's diamond manicure): "#MeganFox had a $30k manicure for the Grammys. Each mail was solid white gold with diamonds. The go fund me she shared is for her nail techs family cancer fund. The rest of the world is struggling to pay bills but she wants US to donate to HER manicurist?! Get the f*** out."

Fox has been active on Instagram since sharing the screenshot but is yet to address the outrage on social media.

However, she did hit back at the criticism over her latest outfit choice which was a completely sheer orange dress by Jean Paul Gaultier, with nipple pasties and nude underwear underneath.

The mom-of-three completed the look with silver necklaces and a '90s-esque hairstyle, with strands falling on both sides of her face.

As her stylist Dimitris Giannetos first shared pictures of the look on Instagram and received some negative comments from users, the actress then took it upon herself to make a follow-up post to respond to any backlash she might receive for wearing such a thing on her own page.

"Before you start angrily typing - those are not my nipples, calm down," Fox wrote. "They are safely and completely hidden under nipple covers so no worries. We will all live another day without a rip in the space-time continuum."

Fox’s viral post ended up accumulating more than 2.3 million likes on the social media platform.
