Megan Fox has opened up about protecting her son from school bullies who told him that "boys don't wear dresses".
The actress, 35, made the revelation during an interview with InStyle where she explained that her eldest son Noah Shannon, eight, has been picked on by "mean, awful people and cruel people."
"I don't want him to ever have to read that s*** because he hears it from little kids at his own school who are like, 'Boys don't wear dresses,'" she said.
Fox said that Noah is "really into fashion" when she appeared on The Talk in 2019, and he is confident enough to wear just about anything and that includes dresses.
The mother-of-three said that her son receives the cruel comments despite the fact that she chose to send him to a liberal school.
"Sometimes, he'll dress himself and he likes to wear dresses sometimes," Fox said at the time, per People. "And I send him to a really liberal, hippy school, but even there - here in California - he still has little boys going, 'Boys don't wear dresses,' or 'Boys don't wear pink.'"
She went on: "So we're going through that now, where I'm trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says.
"He just wore one two days ago to school, and he came home and I was like, 'How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?'" recalled Fox. "And he was like, 'Well, all the boys laughed when I came in, but I don't care, I love dresses too much.'"
Listen to Fox open up about her son's love of dresses below:Fox said that her young son even gives his own design input to the dresses he wears.
"He designs, he draws outfits. He's very talented," she shared at the time. "But he's still 6, so when I do fittings, like, I did one recently and I had this really beautiful yellow dress on, and he kept draping it in a way where he's like, 'If we do it like this, it looks like a diaper!'"
She added: "I was like, 'That's not what we're going for this time, but maybe next time!'"
