Mia Khalifa fired back at radio host Drew Garabo on Twitter this week, after she injured her breast implant while watching a Washington Capitals game against Tampa Bay Lightning during the playoffs. Khalifa was injured by a hockey puck, which hit her at the chest at high speed. All in all, her recovery took more than seven months and required surgery to repair the damage.

Invited onto his radio show The Bone, Garabo introduced Khalifa by stating: "I’m gonna welcome to the show now a young lady who is an avid sports fan. Now it’s not every day you get to have someone on who is an avid sports fan who was also at one point in time the number one ranked adult film star on Pornhub … She has spoken and she has passion and a lot of knowledge. She’s supporting her team, the Washington Capitals against our team, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Then, out of nowhere, one of these damn pucks makes a beeline for her boob and ruptures her implant."

However, Khalia seemed to take umbrage to Garabo referring to her work in the porn industry. She took to Twitter and stated: "I know the educational system in FL is sub-par, but if you request an interview from someone recovering from extensive surgery and they graciously accept to speak on it, maybe don’t introduce them by talking about a different vapid adult actress you once saw at a sporting event as cheap segue into the interview. I held back what I actually wanted to say to these Floridian inbred idiots, but damn, I hope the FCC sends you a check so high you’ll have to re-mortgage the caravan you and your cats sleep in."

On social media, however, the reaction to Khalifa's clapback was divided. For instance, Twitter-user My Info stated: "If you're going to mock the education system in Florida and call it 'sub-par' please know that subpar is one word.... like your sports show had subpar content and subpar viewership." Meanwhile, another Twitter user with the handle Dani Daley wrote: "I think she meant it in the "may I have my check please?" sense, like at a restaurant. Still dumb though. And, your reaction, Mia, to being introduced to an audience for the thing they would know you best, is **insulting** to every sex worker out there. Own your past."

Shortly after undergoing surgery for her injury, Khalifa took to Instagram to thank her doctor and state: "I am so lucky to have these two amazing men taking care of me during my recovery. Between @robertsandberg's sweet touch and love, and @jerfsolo's comedic relief, I almost wish I could have surgery every month just to get to spend this down time with my favourite boys. I love y'all so much. Thank you for taking such good care of me in your own ways".
