Michael Bublé's wife Luisana Lopilato has revealed that the Canadian singer received death threats following a video the couple posted to social media.

In the video, the couple - who have three children together - were addressing fans in Spanish. However, viewers became outraged when the 44-year-old 'I Just Haven't Met You Yet' hitmaker appeared to elbow and grab his 32-year-old wife, all while referring to her as his "very, very beautiful friend and wife".

You can see the video in question below:

After the video hit social media, several people accused Bublé of domestic abuse.

One person shared the clip online, writing: "Plz tell me what you think of this... to all of us is clearly a man being abusive with his wife, the way her grabbed her by the arm... that’s Michael Bublé... she keeps on denying it but there’s so many videos of him and treating her the same way [sic]."

Another wrote: "Often victims are in denial that they’re victims. Yes, even your favourite singer Buble might be an abuser. I’m sure a lot of fans are gaslighting themselves today. FYI charming and “nice” men can be abusive behind the scenes [sic]."

Now Luisana has revealed that her husband has received death threats over the incident.

Appearing on the Argentinian talk show Intrusos, Luisana discussed how the controversy has affected her family, saying:

"We received a lot of love from people but you wouldn‘t believe the amount of people who sent me photos with weapons saying they were going to kill Mike when he reached Argentina, photos of knives from people laughing and saying they were going to cut off his fingers, leave a bomb for us or give him a beating."

Per Hello magazine, Luisana added: "It made me afraid and I still feel a little bit frightened."

Back in April, in a now-deleted Instagram post, Luisana further denied the allegations. Translated from Spanish, she wrote:

"It’s incredible how some human beings act! While we are going through this pandemic, and we are living moments of confinement, anguish, fear, loneliness, and all kinds of uncertainties!

"Every day we go out with my husband to play live music and to bring a little joy, entertainment, longing, and we have to endure to listen and see what malicious people are publishing, coming out to talk about nonsense without knowing anything about our family.

"I want you to know that I have no doubts who my husband is and I would choose him a thousand times more! It’s not fair! These people are doing harm and taking advantage of this pandemic where people are suffering, dying and locked up, to have fame and more followers."

A representative for Bublé also told People in a statement: "There will be no further commenting on this ridiculous allegation. All anyone needs to do is see them together on Facebook Live every day. They are equal and loving partners and treat each other with the greatest respect. They are a beautiful couple."
