Paris Jackson has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late father on what would have been his 65th birthday.

However, despite sharing the poignant video in memory of her dad, the 25-year-old also opened up about the pressures she feels from the music legend's fans.

In a message to her 4.2 million Instagram followers, Jackson took a moment to share a touching and intimate revelation about her late father, the King of Pop. Through a heartfelt Instagram selfie video posted this Tuesday, she pulled back the curtain on Michael's unique attitude toward birthdays.

"So today's my dad’s birthday, and back when he was alive, he used to hate anybody acknowledging his birthday, wishing him a happy birthday, celebrating it, nothing like that," Paris began, sharing a glimpse of her past with her followers.

What truly surprised fans was her next revelation: "He actually didn’t want us to even know when his birthday was because he didn’t want us to throw a party."

But Paris's video wasn't just about reflection; it also shone a light on the strains of modern social media culture. She confessed to feeling a weight of expectation from Michael Jackson's legions of "superfans," especially when it comes to honoring his birthday online.

"If you don’t wish someone a happy birthday via social media, it apparently means that you don’t love them, you don’t care about them,” she added sarcastically.

The emotional video didn't end there. Paris opened up about the harsh backlash she has sometimes received for not publicly commemorating her father's birthday. "There have been times where I don’t post anything for my dad’s birthday, and people lose their f***ing minds. They tell me to kill myself."

Paris reiterated her message in the post's caption, writing: "Please don’t use a man you have never met as an excuse to abuse, manipulate, and harass his daughter (who you also have never met)."

In response, the young actress and singer received an outpouring of support from her true fans, with one person writing: "The irony of people sending hate msgs attacking the daughter of the man they feel deserves to be honored…. Do they think he would’ve wanted THAT?! The Internet has ruined humanity."

"Michael would be so proud of you," a second supporter wrote. "I’m so sorry for all of the hate you get. You absolutely do not deserve it."

A third fan added: "You don’t owe anyone anything. I grew up with his music and it’s awesome to see what you have learned and are carrying on!"

In a matter of hours, the post has amassed more than 130,000 'Likes' from Paris' dedicated fanbase.

Paris also shared the video just hours after her brothers, 26-year-old Prince and 21-year-old Blanket, were seen attending a Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil show.
