Michael Madsen's son has shared a heartfelt tribute to his father following the actor's sudden death.

Madsen passed away this week at the age of 67, with his manager, Ron Smith, revealing that the star had suffered a cardiac arrest.
TMZ reported that Madsen was found unresponsive in his Malibu home, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Managers Susan Ferris and Ron Smith, and publicist Liz Rodriguez told NBC: "In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life.
"Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, currently being edited.
"Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, who will be missed by many."
Now, his 19-year-old son, Luke Madsen has shared a tribute, alongside a series of baby photos of him with his father.
He wrote: "Some Peoples Hero’s Wear Capes, And Fly Shooting Lasers Out Of Their Eyes. Some peoples Hero’s Can Fight Off Armies And Overcome Anything.
"My Hero Wore A Cowboy Hat. My Hero Stood Taller And Stronger Than Any Man I’ve Ever Met. My Hero Understood Me Better Than Anyone.
"My Hero Is The Coolest Most Bada** Human Being I Know. Not Only Was My Hero A Famous Tough Guy Movie Star. My Hero Was My Father. And He Was. Damn Good One."
He finished his tribute by writing: "Love You Pops. I’ll See You Again Someday. Tell Hudson I Said Hi."
He referred to the Reservoir Dogs actor's son Hudson Madsen died by suicide in January 2022 at the age of 26.
Madsen's younger sister, actress Virginia Madsen, was among the first to break her silnce on the Donnie Brasco star's death.
The 63-year-old told Variety in a statement: "My brother Michael has left the stage.
"He was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw. A father, a son, a brother — etched in contradiction, tempered by love that left its mark.
"We’re not mourning a public figure. We’re not mourning a myth — but flesh and blood and ferocious heart, who stormed through life loud, brilliant, and half on fire. Who leaves us echoes — gruff, brilliant, unrepeatable — half legend, half lullaby."

She added: "I’ll miss our inside jokes, the sudden laughter, the sound of him. I’ll miss the boy he was before the legend; I miss my big brother."
Madsen was known for portraying "tough guy" roles in a career spanning 40 years.
Among his credits were roles in Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Reservoir Dogs, and Donnie Brasco. He also appeared in Thelma and Louise, Free Willy, Die Another Day, and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Madsen was born in Chicago, beginning his acting career in the Steppenwold Theatre Company.
After breaking Hollywood, he played criminal Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino's directorial debut in 1992's Reservoir Dogs.

The pair went on to work together in several subsequent movies, including Kill Bill: Vol. 1, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Outside of acting, Madsen was married three times and was a father to six children.
