Have you ever had the cojones to ask a group of superhero fans what the best Batman movie is? If you haven't, then spoiler alert: It's a hectic conversation that you will ultimately wish you never started. I mean, obviously, the answer is The Dark Knight, but there are still many old-school fans out there that will protest it's Batman Returns until they die.
And sure, Batman Returns had its moments - such as a decent portrayal of the Caped Crusader by Michael Keaton - but it also featured A LOT of sleaze, mainly directed at everyone's favourite cat burglar, Selena Kyle, aka Catwoman.
Depicted by Oscar-nominee Michelle Pfeiffer, this incarnation featured the leather-clad actress writhing around on a bed while Danny DeVito's Penguin says, "Just the p***y I've been looking for". Seriously, that's an actual line in the film.
However, Pfeiffer's portrayal did feature many redeeming qualities. Strictly speaking, she was perhaps the most honest representation of the Catwoman fans know from the comics. Also, she had a really cool whip which she used to take out her enemies.
Now, Pfeiffer has taken fans for a stroll down memory lane, recently posting a video to her Instagram account showing that she had found her old Catwoman whip:
Captioning the video: "Look what I found ?", Pfeiffer's discovery sent fans into a frenzy.
One Instagrammer, drboy84, commented: "Can you and Michael Keaton reunite one more time?"
Another commenter, attilioferrara commented: "Iconic role. Remember being a kid and being completely mesmerized by your performance and look as cat woman. ICONIC."
However, not content with just finding her old whip, Pfeiffer delighted fans by taking it for a spin.
And it looks like everyone's favourite Selena Kyle hasn't missed a step:Pfeiffer even captioned the video: "Just like riding a bike ?", as she cracked the whip with ease.
Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman is without a doubt the best big screen adaptation of the character - who made her debut "the Cat" in the very first edition of the Batman comic book. Halle Berry's 2004 portray was a condemned box office flop, and Anne Hathaway's version was just a little too... nice. But Pfeiffer's portrayal was as captivating and dramatic as it was sexy and beguiling.
I can only echo the thoughts of actress Sarah Paulson, who commented: "MAKE ANOTHER CATWOMAN MOVIE PLEASE AND THANK YOU. ??????"
And bonus fact: The whip is probably the first human invention to break the sound barrier - that's what causes the crack.
