Shaun Weiss has reflected on his struggles with addiction, and has admitted that he was "probably going to die" if he continued on the path he was on.
The 44-year-old actor, perhaps best known to fans for his role in the 1990's Mighty Ducks movies, recently took part in an interview with Addiction Talk - an online recovery talk show.
Earlier this year, the former child star celebrated two years of sobriety, and marked the occasion by sharing a picture on Instagram that showed off his incredible transformation.
However, during his interview with Addiction Talk earlier this week, Weiss admitted it was "hard to see" old photos of himself while he was battling addiction, confessing that he "looked horrible and deathly".
Weiss then revealed that he was "in horrible shape", weighing just 96lbs at one point, and his hair was "infested with bugs".
"I was probably going to die if those sheriff's deputies didn't step in and save me," he added.
After years of struggling with drug addiction issues, the former child star has been working on his sobriety since 2020 when he was charged with burglary and being under the influence of methamphetamine.
During his interview, per PEOPLE, Weiss confessed that he would steal $1,000 worth of electronic goods every day in order to feed his addiction.
"That's not normal," he explained.

It's been a long road to recovery for the actor, who has undergone dental reconstruction surgery as part of his rehab transformation.
Celebrating his new smile, Weiss shared a few snaps with his dentist, writing: "I feel like a new person. Thank you Dr. Gabe!!"

And fortunately, it would appear that his acting career is once again back on track.
Back in April, the actor took to Instagram to reveal that he had been cast in a new movie, explaining in a selfie caption that he is all set to appear in the upcoming movie Jesus Revolution.
"John Erwin & Lions Gate for my first role in... a while," Weiss wrote, followed by the hashtag 'Jesusrevolutionmovie'.
According to Weiss' IMDb page, it will be the first movie he has starred in since his appearance in Robert G. Putka's 2016 comedy-drama, Mad.
The film is scheduled to be released worldwide on February 24, 2023.
