Iskra Lawrence has hit back at trolls who have been fat-shaming her after seeing her take centre stage at a recent fashion show.

The 33-year-old, who is currently pregnant with her second child, took to social media to slam the comments surrounding her body after recently strutting her stuff at a Miami Swim Week fashion show earlier this month.

Lawrence took to Instagram to post a carousel of images from the show which were surrounded by horrific screenshots of comments left by internet trolls, fat-shaming the mom-of-one.

"Imagine body-shaming a stranger on the internet," she wrote on the first slide of her post, which showed her smiling brightly on the catwalk while cradling her growing belly in a blue and orange tye-dye print bikini.

"To call her a 'model' is a travesty to those who take care of themselves and look beautiful," read one of the nasty comments she shared. "Being round and loose was a woke attempt at the special group being falsely beautiful. They tried butts too, but it didn't work."

"I'm all in favour of body positivity, but why do women always have to be almost naked to try and prove it? It's undignified and crass," another added while a third stated that it looked like the model was having "triplets."

The third slide also contained another photo of the star taken from the swimsuit show, but again, there was another handful of rude comments tagged alongside it.

And it was the same for the next two images before the carousel concluded: " I do want to thank these trolls for being so obsessed with me they made commenting on my big fat pregnant body their biggest priority so impressive you have nothing more important to do[.] Such a surprise."

Lawrence also urged others to comment some good clapbacks so that she "can have a good laugh" after experiencing such negativity.

Instagram users took to the comment section to offer up some kind words of support for the model with one user writing: "They’re sitting behind a computer commenting on your body while you are glowing while growing life on the catwalk, no need for comebacks when you are already playing the ultimate power move. You look incredible mama."

"I find these comments not only disturbing because you are so obviously stunning but also because they almost seem to be shaming you more because you’re pregnant which is just scary, people really have lost their way - what happened to mutual kindness and respect??" another added.

"This is WILD to me. To talk about a mother carrying life this way... I’m horrified," a third stated.

Others also commented that they hoped none of these trolls were parents themselves because it's utterly shameful how they could be so cruel.

PSA: If in 2024, you're still commenting on a woman's body in any way, shape, or form, it's probably time to get off the internet and get yourself a hobby.
