One of the top models to come out of Paris has urged her fans to embrace their age, as she proudly showcased her "58-year-old face."

Paulina Porizkova started her modeling career in France in the 1980s and quickly became one of the top models in Paris.

Following this success, she rose to fame in the US after she was the cover star of an issue of Sports Illustrated in 1984, cementing herself as one of the most sought-after models of the time.

Porizkova has continued her career and is still in the industry to this day. She now advocates for people to embrace aging as she proudly showed off her appearance while revealing that she's never had any cosmetic work done.

Taking to Instagram, the model shared a lengthy statement alongside two clips that showed her "58-year-old face", one while wearing makeup, and one without.

Paulina Porizkova shows off her "58-year-old face":

"This is a 58 year old face without fillers, Botox or surgery in good light with professional gorgeous makeup (by @ivanatoky)," Porizkova wrote.

The model revealed that she has used lasers before, noting them as "ultherapy and Morpheus" - but then revealed the secret to her amazing looks.

The sun is arguably the thing that will make our looks deteriorate, so using SPF daily, even when it's not considered sunny, is always a good thing to do, and Porizkova agrees, revealing that she has been using it "religiously since my early twenties."

"I have chosen not to put anything "into" my face - but even with the fanciest creams and lasers that promise to restore some collagen- I am aging," she went on.

Even former models sometimes have doubts about the way they look, Porizkova revealed. "Some days, I like it. I feel like my face has gained character even as it’s lost its youthful prettiness. And it seems a fair trade off. Other days, (and this is mostly only if I do a photoshoot), I have to gulp some self acceptance. I have changed," she said.

With aging, comes the need for self-acceptance, the model stated: "I won’t skip over the obvious- that there is a love in my life who finds me beautiful, and tells me so with words and actions every day- and this is really the only one I NEED to hear - But! I was on the same path before meeting him.

"I wanted to be able to accept myself as I am. And needed to know that those who love me - love me for the truth of who I am rather than who I pretend to be or who I’m expected to be."

Porizkova concluded: "Outside, I have changed. I’m told by society - for the worse. Inside, I have also changed. I’m told by those who matter- for the better. When I close my eyes, I have never felt so desirable or beautiful.

"When I open them, the world has never been as beautiful as it is now. So another gulp of self acceptance. Maybe, one day I can just look and see myself as I see others."

It seems like fans really appreciated Porizkova's honesty, with one person writing: "This is what I would like to see on the cover of Vogue. A gorgeous woman who loves herself enough not to airbrush the life out of her face!"

A second added: "STUNNING with and without, then and now and in between. One thing is certain about you, Paulina, breathtaking beauty shines from within."
