On the July 10 episode of The Kardashians, the matriarch of the Kardashian family showed fans how she was prepping for her upcoming surgery following the discovery of an ovarian tumor earlier this year.

"I wanted to tell you guys something... I went to the doctor and had my scan,” she said to her daughters Kim, Khloé, and Kendall and her boyfriend Corey Gamble during a previous episode of the hit show. “They found, and this just makes me really emotional but, they found a cyst and a little tumor on my ovary.

"Dr A said I’ve gotta have my ovaries taken out and I'm emotional about it because they came in handy with you guys,” she continued, clearly very emotional. "That’s where all my kids were conceived and that’s where they were grown, in my tummy. So this is a very sacred place to me."

Despite the scary situation, Kris was determined to stay positive, telling her family that she can get through this.

"Listen, if I can get through the hip replacement, I can get through this,” she said. "I’m not nervous to be put to sleep. I’m not nervous with Dr. A, she’s the best doctor in the world. But then you go to do it and... it’s so real.

"It’s a whole chapter that’s just closed," she added, still crying.

In the most recent episode of The Kardashians, the 68-year-old started her road to removing the tumor with a pre-op exam with Dr. Boris Vaisman.

Even though she went in with a positive mindset, she admitted that she was "nervous."

"I’ve made peace with the fact that this is happening," Kris said in her confessional. "But I’m still a little nervous."

Dr. Vaisman revealed that the tumor was "growing" and that they needed to "get rid of it" as quick as possible.

Then suddenly, the mom-of-six said: "I was thinking, what else could I do?"

“Two birds with one stone?” the doctor asked.

"I like to multitask at all times,” Kris added. "Anything I can do while I’m asleep, I’m going to do it."

In the time leading up to her hysterectomy, Kim and Khloe decided that their mom was in need of a little party, to officially say goodbye to her ovaries forever - so that's exactly what they did.

They turned up at Kris' house with balloons and a cake - which read "it’s not ovary yet" - making their mother laugh.

Speaking in another confessional, the star got emotional once again, admitting that this part of her body was a special one to her.

"I loved being pregnant. Love love loved being pregnant. And I do mourn not ever being able to be pregnant again. It was just this delicious time in my life where I felt like everything came to a halt. Life was beautiful. It was the best time of my life. The best years," she said, before going on to state that it's a difficult process because she remembers wanting to start having a family - and now she's at the end of that process.

“Here’s the thing. I did it, they found something, we’re here to fix it, and I’m going to do something and remove something that gave me six of the best parts of my whole life,” Kris said to the camera.

"I think I’m very emotional about it because when you're young you start talking about wanting a family," she added. "So here we are now talking about it again, and it’s the other side of the process. And it makes me very sad."
