Earlier this month, Broadway actor Nick Cordero sadly passed away at the age of 41 after spending months in intensive care as a result of the complications he suffered from COVID-19.
The news was broken by his wife, Amanda Kloots, who paid tribute to her late husband in a touching Instagram post, in which she said:
"God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth."
The couple shared a son, Elvis, who celebrated his first birthday on July 10.
Now, taking to Instagram to share an emotional story with her 569,000 followers, 39-year-old Kloots has revealed that she has received "a sign" from her late husband.
"Yesterday I went on a walk with Elvis. I went on the walk because I started a #ak10daysofhappy challenge where I do one thing a day to make me happy.
"On the walk I was talking out loud to Nick. I’m not kidding you I said, 'Babe, will you show me a sign that you’re here with me and Elvis. I don’t know what it would be, but please show me a sign.'
"I had the People magazine on my bed last night because I was going to read it finally. It fell off the bed and landed face down and on the back cover was the Geico gecko. Nick put two things on his vision board this year, two things. One of them was the Geico gecko. Out of all the ads that could have been on the back of Nicks issue, THIS WAS THE AD!
"The spiritual meaning of a gecko, in case you are wondering, it represents incredible healing and cleansing due to its regenerative powers. The appearance of a gecko in your life means you are strong, fearless and can overcome anything!
"I believe this was a sign from Nick! It was his cheeky way of saying, 'Hi honey. I’m here still! I’m with you.'"
Kloots' post has received over 69,000 likes and thousands of comments from supporters.

Earlier this month, Kloots also shared some photos and videos that she found on Cordero's phone following his passing.
She wrote on her Instagram story, "just opened nicks phone for the first time. 832 texts since he went into a coma."

"I looked at Nicks phone today and found some gems that I'll share with you," she added, along with a photograph of Cordero with their son.

She shared one of Nick Cordero posing next to a car with the caption "So proud of our first car,"

In support of Nick Cordero's family, a GoFundMe page was set up in order to raise money for his medical bills. At the time of writing, the fund has reached $1,046,000.
