Joe Rogan may be best known to many for being a commentator for the UFC, but he can also handle himself when it comes to throwing down.

In fact, the 55-year-old podcast host once had to take matters into his own hands when dealing with an internet troll back in 2011.

The so-called ‘Myspace challenger’ had called out Rogan on MySpace (if you can remember that), and threw down a challenge to the former Fear Factor host, per GiveMeSport.

What the troll didn’t realize is that Rogan is no soft touch - in fact, he's a long-time practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and even holds a black belt from Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu.

Clearly confident in his abilities, Rogan decided to take up the challenge and paid him a visit... and it didn't go well for the troll.

Now, I'm not going to pretend that I'm an MMA expert - but I know a dominant a** whooping when I see one, with the troll eventually being forced to tap out to Rogan.

The YouTube video has two million views and over 1,000 comments, with some fans supporting Rogan, and others praising the troll for even attempting to fight him.

“Joe Rogan definitely has some serious skills. This is one of the things that makes him such a great commentator, his knowledge of the sport comes from [first-hand] experience,” one user commented.

And this isn't the first time Rogan has had to get physical.

Back on the 6th season of Fear Factor, Rogan was forced to step in when one contestant hit another - and the host quickly took exception.

Rogan has been a UFC commentator for nearly two decades.

Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan explained how Dana White, the UFC president, got him into commentating: “He talked me into it for one show, UFC 37 and a half.

“I think it was the best damn sport show period…I did that and [the] rest is history.”

Since, Rogan’s own podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience has dominated his career progression, becoming one of the most popular free podcasts in 2016.

It was bought exclusively for Spotify in 2020 for around $200 million.

But this has not been without scandal either, as Spotify had to remove episodes where Rogan had produced controversial and offensive content, including spreading misinformation during the pandemic and encouraging young people not to get vaccinated.
