Announced earlier this year, Back To The Beginning at Villa Park was billed as Ozzy’s “final bow” after years of health struggles, including Parkinson’s disease.
Rising up on a black throne with jewelled skulls, he performed a solo set before reuniting with his original bandmates Terence “Geezer” Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward, for Black Sabbath’s first performance in 20 years.
“Let the madness begin,” Ozzy shouted as he appeared, adding: “It's so good to be on this stage.”
With the crowd chanting his name, he performed both sets seated but retained the signature glint in his eyes while leading fans through Mr Crowley, Crazy Train, Iron Man, and Paranoid. He encouraged fans to “sing louder, louder” and “go f***ing crazy.”
The farewell featured a supergroup lineup, including Slayer, Halestorm, Metallica, Guns ‘n’ Roses, and appearances from Steven Tyler, Ronnie Wood, Yungblud, Travis Barker, and Chad Smith.
The event was filled with tributes from Billy Idol, Ricky Gervais, Dolly Parton, Sir Elton John, and host Jason Momoa, who told the crowd heavy metal had been a “safehaven” for many growing up and that Black Sabbath’s music had “influenced and inspired musicians of all eras and genres.”
The show, masterminded by Sharon Osbourne so Ozzy could say a proper thank you to his fans, concluded with fireworks and a roar from the crowd chanting Ozzy’s name, closing a chapter in rock history while raising funds for Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorn's Children's Hospice.
But an emotional sendoff for Ozzy wasn't the only thing that happened on Saturday...
Kelly Osbourne is officially engaged after her partner, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson, proposed backstage.
The 40-year-old television personality and singer shared the joyful moment on social media, joking, “Oh and this happened yesterday!” as she posted footage of the proposal, which took place in front of her parents.
Ozzy couldn't resist adding a touch of his outspoken humor during the proposal, as it was happening he said: "F*** off, you're not marrying my daughter.”

Sid, 48, laughed it off and continued with his heartfelt declaration, telling Kelly: “Kelly you know I love you more than anything. Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life with you.”
The engagement comes as Kelly and Sid, who have been together since 2022 and share a two-year-old son named Sidney, step into a new chapter together. It marks Kelly’s third engagement following previous engagements to Luke Worrall and Matthew Mosshart.
During her pregnancy, Kelly shared she “didn't leave the house for nine months” due to public scrutiny, spending that time bonding with her father, whom she calls her best friend.
“My dad is not the way he used to be, since the Parkinson's and surgeries and everything that happened,” she said, adding: “So I dedicate my life to spending as much time with him as I possibly can.”
Looking ahead, Kelly revealed she has received “about three offers to do a reality show”, stating: “I feel like I'm ready to do reality again, I want to make my mark on the world.”
She added: “I've been Ozzy's daughter for a very long time, and now it's time for me to do what I want to do.”
