Paris Hilton has opened up about the struggles of parenthood, specifically about being a working mother with young babies.

The heiress, former reality star and businesswoman, 42, became a mom for the second time in November 2023 after she announced she'd welcomed a daughter via surrogate.

Hilton welcomed her first child, Phoenix, with husband Carter Reum on January 25, 2023, joyfully announcing the news on her social media platforms.

Accompanied by a touching photo of her newborn's tiny fingers wrapped around hers, Hilton expressed her love with the caption: "You are already loved beyond words" and a blue heart.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the time, Paris shared her excitement about motherhood, calling it her "dream" and expressing gratitude for finding happiness with Carter. "We are so excited to start our family together, and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy," she said.

In November last year, Paris took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her daughter, London, posting an adorable photo featuring a pink baby outfit and a pair of pink heart-shaped sunglasses. "Thankful for my baby girl," she wrote in the caption.

However, Paris recently disclosed that her decision to have both children via a surrogate was influenced by her struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a traumatic experience as a teenager.

Despite the challenges, Paris expressed her joy at embracing motherhood once again. Speaking to CNN, she shared: "We are just over the moon, we are so in love with her, and I just feel like my life is so complete now with my baby boy and baby girl."

Addressing the surprise element of London's arrival, Paris revealed: "She was a surprise to everyone as well - my mom and my sister, they knew but they didn't know when it was happening."

Paris reflected on the significant shift in her lifestyle, trading vodka shots and nightclub dance floors for diaper changes and games of peek-a-boo. "These babies bring so much light and love into my life, especially just seeing Phoenix smile and laugh - and he just learned how to dance!" she exclaimed.

Acknowledging the challenges of balancing a career and motherhood, Paris emphasized: "The one thing is being a working mom and balancing it all.

"I have a crazy schedule, so I am learning to say no and just trying to spend as much time as possible with my little ones."

In a previous interview with Us Weekly after the birth of her son, Hilton emphasized the shift in her priorities, stating: "All of my priorities have shifted. I am saying no to so many things because I want to be able to spend as much time with [my son] as possible. He's just my little angel."
