On Saturday, Keanu Reeves stepped out onto the red carpet with his new girlfriend, artist and business collaborator Alexandra Grant.

It was the first time Reeves has been seen in public with a serious love interest in decades, as the pair walked hand-in-hand on the red carpet of the LACMA Art & Film Gala Presented By Gucci in Los Angeles.

In his past, Reeves has been romantically linked with the likes of Amanda De Cadenet, Claire Forlani, and it was only earlier this year that he admitted to actually having a crush on his Speed co-star Sandra Bullock.

The last serious partner Reeves was seen in public with was actress Jennifer Syme (Lost Highway) in the late nineties. Sadly, Reeves and Syme endured heartache in 1999 when their daughter Ava was born stillborn at eight months. Two years later, Jennifer drove her Jeep into a row of parked cars in LA - which sadly the 28-year-old instantly.

Thankfully, along with his 2019 career 'Keanuissance', Reeves' going public with new girlfriend Alexandra has delighted his fans - as they are overwhelmed by his happiness in both his professional and personal lives.

But as well as being happy for the Matrix star for finding love, fans appear to be more impressed with Reeves for finding an "age-appropriate" partner - with Keanu being 55 years old and the artist being 46 years old.

Now, his dedicated fanbase has taken to Twitter to express their sheer delight (just like with anything Reeves does), at finding an age-appropriate partner:

Literally, people cannot get over the fact that a famous Hollywood male is dating a woman in her 40s. I guess it doesn't help that Leonardo DiCaprio has never had a girlfriend over the age of 25 (seriously, check out this graph.)
