The internet has been sent into meltdown by Pete Davidson's uncut pre-fight interview with Jake Paul.

It's believed the locker room interview took place before the YouTuber turned boxer knocked out out former MMA champion Ben Askren in less than two minutes at the Triller Fight Club event in Atlanta.

Paul was mocked by the comedian prior to the fight in a monologue on Saturday (April 17), but in person, the pair appeared to be friendly with each other.

Davidson said that Paul put him in mind of "Charlie Sheen when he went on his winning tirade", which is a reference to a series of interviews where Sheen stated that he had "tiger blood and Adonis DNA."

Davidson's audio then cuts out a few seconds into the interview, and when it returns, Paul can be heard saying: "bro, you can't joke around about that."

This has left the internet wondering exactly what Davidson had asked the boxer.

"No, I'm not. I'm not," Davidson said, before asking if Paul was "good."

"I'm good bro, I'm good," Paul said.

It was at this point that a member of Paul's team interrupted and asserted that "nothing" was happening.

The uncut interview went down a storm on social media, with many taking to Twitter to comment on Davidson's questions.

A number of viewers speculated that Davidson asked Paul about the sexual assault allegations made against him by TikToker Justine Paradise a few days prior to the fight taking place.

However, as the audio cut out, it's not known exactly what Davidson asked.

One Twitter user reacted to the video with a clapping GIF and the caption: "Pete Davidson asking Jake Paul about his sexual assault allegations right before the fight #TrillerFightClub."

A second wrote: "pete davidson asking jake paul about his sexual assault allegations and intimidating him in the process is something that can be so personal [sic]."

Meanwhile, reacting to Perez Hilton's post, a third wrote: "Usually when asked if you raped someone, the answer is ....no."

A fourth wrote: "On one hand, I commend Pete for being the only one with the guts to confront Jake Paul about his history of sexual assault...but on the other hand, you can't confront him on this sh*t then back off literally immediately & go back to asking him about his robot & favorite colors."

A fifth added: "Pete Davidson was the winner in my eyes. Lol."

Taking to Twitter on April 13, Paul released a statement denying the assault allegations made against him.

He said that the claims were "100% false" and had his lawyer, Daniel E. Gardenswartz, also deny the allegations.

"Our client is aware of the recent allegation against him. While others have already begun to debunk the claim alleged against him, our client categorically denies the allegation and has every intention of aggressively disproving it and pursuing legal action against those responsible for the defamation of his character," Gardenswartz said.
