Pink has shared a touching tribute to her late father Jim Moore, who has passed away from prostate cancer.

The singer, 41, posted two black and white images on Instagram, captioning them simply: "Til forever".

One of the touching images shows her as a child dancing with her father at a party, while the second image shows the pair sharing a dance at her 2006 wedding to husband Carey Hart.

Pink later took to her Instagram Story to share a quote from poet Emily Dickinson, which read: "If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain; if I can ease one life the aching, or cool one pain, or help one fainting robin unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain."

"You did, Dad. You did. Til the next dance, Daddy-Sir," Pink added.

Moore was a veteran of the Vietnam War and collaborated with his daughter on the 2006 track 'I Have Seen The Rain' from her 2006 album, I’m Not Dead.

Pink - real name Alecia Beth Moore - said her father wrote the song whilst serving in Vietnam and would sing it to her when she was a baby.

The pair performed the song at a 2006 concert in New York City.

"He wrote a song about forty years ago in Vietnam," Pink said at the time of the concert. "And I think it's important today because it's a soldier's cry and we're producing them by the thousands. And tonight this is a really special evening because the first time my dad's ever performed in front of a group is going to be right now."

According to TODAY, her father then timidly walked out onstage with the singer telling the crowd: "Can we get my favorite person in the whole world out here, tonight? My daddy, Mr. Jim Moore. Can we give him lots of love?"

In May last year, she honored her father on Memorial Day in another touching post, writing: "Thinking of all the soldiers and veterans and military families today. Sending my love and respect and gratitude for your sacrifice."

Pink grew up with her father Jim, and mother Judith in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Her parents divorced when she was 10.
